Industry Expert Says StopRush Has Destroyed Limbaugh's Business For Good
WED APR 16, 2014 AT 07:55 PM PDT
by ProgLegs
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/04/16/1292...

Speaking yesterday on the Ed Schultz radio show, industry insider Holland Cooke credited a persistent online activist movement with completely destroying right wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh's business model by using the very free speech that El Rushbo claims gives him carte blanche to do what he does.

Cooke pins the blame for talk radio's struggles squarely on Limbaugh's shoulders and points to the right wing talk show host's 2012 attack on Sandra Fluke as the "shot heard round the world." Here are some excerpts from his comments:
The conversation really picked up on February 29, 2012, Leap Year Day which was Day 1 of this three-day Rush Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke faux pas. And, if we were studying the history of talk radio, you stick a pin in the timeline there because at that moment, a very well organized and relentless advertiser boycott effort which remains underway today, rendered that business inviable.

Hundreds of blue-chip national advertisers basically have not only wandered away from Rush Limbaugh and some of the other righties, they’ve abandoned the format entirely. They are afraid to be heard on a news talk station because this man’s use of his free speech triggered the opposing viewpoint exercising THEIR right to free speech.

The boycotters are speaking and using the marketplace to say,“ENOUGH!”

...And we just got the first round of monthly radio ratings yesterday. Tomorrow we’re gonna get Boston, Detroit, Miami, San Diego.

But yesterday we got New York, and Los Angeles and San Francisco, and Chicago and Dallas and some of the other big markets. And it is stunning to say this when we think that Rush Limbaugh himself led this whole talk radio revolution back in 1990. But today Rush Limbaugh is on the Number 22 station in New York. He is on the number 37 station in Los Angeles. In New York, four of the stations that are beating his station are not even English language stations.

The Rush Limbaugh station in New York is getting beat by a station that plays classical music. In Los Angeles where you might expect it, there are 11 non-English speaking stations beating Rush Limbaugh. And guess what? In both markets, the station that he just left in January is now up slightly over where it was when he left.

...So the short answer is talk radio as we know it, the crazy uncle righty politically monologue-based I’m right you’re wrong genre is mathematically in trouble.

Rand Paul wants to know when U.S. economy last created millions of jobs. Here's the answer.
WED APR 16, 2014 AT 01:53 PM PDT
by Jed Lewison
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/04/16/1292...

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul asks a question:
When is the last time in our country we created millions of jobs?
Unfortunately, he wasn't interested in the answer. Or, more specifically, he thought he knew the answer:

It was under Ronald Reagan.

Wrong.

One way you could look at it is total number of jobs created during each presidency since Reagan. If you did that, here's what you'd get:

Reagan: 16.1 million (8 years)
Bush 41: 2.6 million (4 years)
Clinton: 22.9 million (8 years)
Bush 43: 1.3 million (8 years)
Obama: 4.0 million (6 years, 2 months)

Or, to look at it a different way, since Reagan became president, a total of 20 million jobs have been created in the 20 years with Republicans in the Oval Office. Meanwhile, 26.9 million jobs have been created in the 14 years with Democrats in office. And here's the amazing thing: These numbers attribute 4.3 million jobs lost during Bush's Great Recession to Obama—if you factored those out, the total job tally would be 31 million jobs under Democrats to 16 million jobs under Republicans.

As Bill Scher pointed out, the absurdity of Rand Paul's misstatement of facts really disproves the case Paul was trying to make—that the Republican economic philosophy is better for regular working people. Paul believes the GOP needs to shed its image of being the party of the rich, which is obviously true, but his solution for doing that is to fall back on the same old trickle-down economic policies that make the economy so much worse under Republican presidents. Republicans don't need new spin: They need new policies.

Well for openers, he needs to QUIT making threats he's not willing to follow through on. Once he has dropped the ball, it's difficult to get any respect. Putin laughs at that clown. Obviously, Obama has given this situation the same consideration he seems to have given everything else during his term. No. I don't support war, but I CERTAINLY don't support throwing down the gavel and then picking it back up and moving it and throwing it down again , etc.

Ok…..so you will answer questions huh??? Questions for the dummy…………..
1…why do you support a libroid party that has enslaved millions into dependency of gubmint handouts??

2…why do you support a libroid party known as the party of baby killers?? Do you get satisfaction from knowing that killing a baby is killing a Nation??

3….why do you support a libroid party that has produced 86 million full time workers supporting 148 million benefit takers??

4…why do you think America is a free country when socialism reigns supreme under authority of a gubmint that gives money to other countries and their citizens, while insisting individual citizens in our country to pay their last cent in contributing to gubmint being the arbitrator of who gets what and how much???

5…why do you continue to exhibit using words you don’t fully understand the meaning of, in making feeble efforts to support your position???

6……..why do you support libroid progressives, when all evidence points to them being regressives??

And there are many more….but I don’t want to overload you in the beginning…………

Answer these questions and I’ll answer your question…………….

"Obama said any violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity would be "deeply destabilizing, and he warned "the United States will stand with the international community in affirming that there will be costs for any military intervention in Ukraine."

""We are now deeply concerned by reports of military movements taken by the Russian Federation inside Ukraine," U.S. President Barack Obama said in televised comments from the White House.

"...It would be a clear violation of Russia's commitment to respect the independence and sovereignty and borders of Ukraine and of international laws."

Obama said any violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity would be "deeply destabilizing, and he warned "the United States will stand with the international community in affirming that there will be costs for any military intervention in Ukraine.""

So Russia pays no attention to Obama's threat of "costs."
invades Crimea, controls Crimea......and now threathens to take more of the Ukraine..........

and Obama says there will be more "costs."

Perhaps Obama has Russia and the Ukraine mixed up with Obamacare when it comes to "costs"..........see ing as how obamacare has raised insurance premiums through the roof..........

and coverage of deductibles has rise on average of appox $5k a year, for every year you live and get medical care..........

And to play the fool like ABD plays..........

"Cognitive dissonance is a term that refers to the uncomfortable feeling that comes from holding two or more conflicting viewpoints.

In the process of my ongoing search to discover why liberals are so remarkably,(one could even say ostentatiously), off the beam, I’ve come to understand that cognitive dissonance plays a large role.(Link) and (Link)

Perhaps no other truth rattles the liberal brain as much as the recognition that Fascists, and Nazis in particular, are a Far Left phenomena.

I’m reminded of a skit by the English comedy team, Mitchell & Webb. In the skit they portray two Nazi officers, one of whom suddenly notices that they all have a skull-and-crossbones on their caps.“Does that make us the baddies?” he asks.

One may feel a certain compassion for the many liberals who must be feeling varying degrees of cognitive dissonance these days (“We’re the Nazis? Doh!”).

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, so to speak, it’s only a matter of time before liberals start rewriting, revising, and otherwise changing, history, in order to paint Hitler as not only misunderstood, but unfairly demonized, as well. There have already been moves made in that direction.(Link)

The Liberals will, by and by, no doubt make a semi-saintly icon out of poor ol’ Adolph, and will soon be singing “Deutschland Über Alles,” instead of “Kumbaya,” around the campfire.

Unfortunately for the liberals, this means that they will have give up one of their favorite epithets to hurl at conservatives—“Nazi.” They can’t continue using the word “Nazi” in a derogatory sense, when it undeniably refers to themselves.(Link)

Well, actually they can, and will, regardless of the absurdity of such verbal attacks. Old habits die hard.(Link)

The number of contradictory ideas held by liberals is large, and I will only be covering a small sampling in this article—hopefully enough to get my point across.(Link)

The regressive Progressives, claim to be revolutionaries, when in fact they are nothing but retrograde forces bent on instituting a return of “we the people” to a servile state of economic slavery."

Another fools play like ABD..........

from a liberal point of view..........

"These guys are good. They understand the necessity of remaking the world when the actual one we live in would never dream of embracing their destructive initiatives. These guys could not only sell ice to Eskimoes, they could peddle dirt to an ant colony. They could market garbage at the county dump. They could sell crap to the local sewer district.

We know this, because they do it all the time. The entire regressive agenda is based on lies, most of them both whopping in scale and utterly transparent to any remotely sentient human being. How, then, has it succeeded so well these last thirty years? There are many answers to that question, including, especially, the collapse in confidence of alternative ideologies, the wholesale, marked-down-today-only, outright purchase of the Democratic Party by corporate interests, and the stunning derogation of duty by the mainstream media. But one key answer involves the work of these masters at the marketing of deceit.

And one of their greatest achievements has been to pick up the whole ideological playing field and move it about a thousand miles to the right. This is what I mean by remaking reality. They’ve created a whole new normal. And in this new normal, anything to the left of Dick Cheney is liberal, if not far left. And that, of course, includes the hated Barack Obama sitting like some squatter in their White House.

As it happens, I hate Barack Obama, too. And my reasons for doing so are piling up fast. But I would never mistake him for a liberal. And that, in fact, is one of the things I most despise about this disastrous fool of a president. I couldn’t possibly care less what happens to him, other than hoping for fate to return the favor after all he’s done (and, especially, failed to do) to the country he promised to rescue. But I do care about progressivism (or liberalism, if one prefers – I typically avoid that term now that the Atwaters and Luntzs have turned it into something slightly less hated than pedophilia), and I’m furious that this pathetic president and his horrid little whorehouse of a political party, who are about as liberal as George W. Bush was, are taking down the political ideas I care about with their own sinking ship."

Another ABD kind of posts..........

"The Regressive Progressives: Liberal Racism at its Ugliest"

"Liberals believe government is the cure to social problems and the duty of government is to make everything equal. Conservatives believe it is the individual’s responsibility to improve their condition and the State’s only requirement is to take care of infrastructure, protection from foreign threats, assist those in genuine need and create laws to protect our property and God-given rights.

Some examples of regressive liberal thinking;

Abortion. Having no idea on when a life “really” begins, a liberal person sees no problem in gambling with life. Asking a doctor to use tools to enter a woman’s body (with her permission of course) and obliterate the live cells of a new person is very ancient and primitive to me. A conservative would allow the baby to mature and find other options such as adoption to address the mother’s need to destroy it.

Economy. Liberals are very happy asking the State to use its resources to influence the economy in the way the State sees fit. It is very regressive to believe one small group of delegates have the ability to incorporate our existing resources for the production of products they deem appropriate and then limit its citizens to those products for consumption. Obama Care and the idea of moving car companies to produce electric vehicles are a perfect example of the State demanding manufacturers to produce a specific product and telling its populace what it must purchase. Conservatives and history are strong believers in allowing the marketplace to make those millions of decisions that create a vibrant economy.

Immigration. The liberal, or progressive, state of California is providing more and more incentives for persons to enter the country illegally. Allowing a city to become a sanctuary city and providing driver’s licenses for persons here illegally has added to the cost of government and stipulated that tax payers need to pony up more money to those who by-pass U.S. border stations. We are regressing when we place the welfare and security of citizens at risk by encouraging unchecked people to enter our country. Conservatives believe our country should protect its sovereignty at our borders and remove incentives for people to enter our country illegally. Conservatives do recognize immigration laws could be improved and want to work to that end, but moving in the wrong direction is hindering our ability to work together.

Progressive liberal legislators who mean well say one thing, but their actions have created new laws that are very regressive. President Barack Obama once said,“There’s not a liberal America and a conservative America – there’s the United States of America.” "

"there's the United States of America",

but only if you agree with me in my goal of ruining America..........
