You see, your very network has created the very balanced narrative that ties people's poverty to their own lack of virtue, and says that programs created to serve the impoverished are in fact the reason that those are still impoverished. Sort of the idea being, if they weren't such shitty people, they wouldn't be poor. And those food stamps are just making them shittier.(audience laughter) Of course, you didn't say it so elegantly.
FOX NEWS VOICEOVER (8/9/2013): Food stamp abusers, eating on taxpayers.
FOX NEWS VOICEOVER (7/19/2011): America's poor are actually living the good life.
STEVE DOOCY (10/10/2013):... America's culture of dependency ...
ERIC BOLLING (3/8/2014): Our liberal government is teaching our kids to be takers, instead of makers.
GRETCHEN CARLSON (1/6/2012):... moochers ...
JONATHAN HOENIG (8/7/2013):... parasites ...
MICHAEL REAGAN (10/23/2010):... sucking off, you know, the nipple of the government ...
CHARLES PAYNE (7/5/2012):... freeloading ...
TRACY BYRNES (11/18/2011):... draining this society ...
STUART VARNEY (7/19/2011): 99% of them have a refrigerator.
...My point is this. Congratulations, on finding your food stamp abuse Bigfoot. That one guy you found is certainly not someone that the food stamp program itself would probably point to as its greatest success story. But we make fun of you not for finding him, but for pretending that he somehow represents literally millions of Americans. I know I'm being purposefully hyperbolic.
ERIC BOLLING (2/26/2014): He is this, the representative of literally millions of Americans.
Oh I'm sorry, I meant hyper-Bolling.(audience laughter)
But let's take you at your word. Perhaps you're merely a watchdog for the American people. And like watchdogs, you do occasionally bark at burglars, but mostly just the dishwasher and shadows. For instance, what is the waste, fraud, and abuse in the food stamp program?
ABBY HUNTSMAN (2/4/2014): More than $3 billion dollars has been lost to trafficking, fraud, and overpayments each year.
Well you know what? That ain't nothing. That's a lot. And I imagine you would agree with me that $3 billion dollars is a lot of money.
ERIC BOLLING (2/11/2012): You and I know numbers. I know you know numbers, and I assume you know I know numbers.
Well, OK, you don't have to point at me, but OK, fine. So knowing numbers, and hating waste and fraud as you do, when Democrats were looking to raise a trillion dollars in revenue, in part by ending the very wasteful $4 billion dollars —$4 billion dollars — in taxpayer subsidies that go to already profitable oil companies, you said what?
ERIC BOLLING (2/11/2012): The tax breaks, or the loopholes, or tax credits that you give to oil companies amount to about $4 billion dollars a year. They're a pittance compared to what they were looking for.
(in haughty rich voice) Oooooooohhhhh!!!!!(audience laughter) It's a...$4 billion is a pittance! A pittance for the refrigerator set!(audience laughter)
So what I have learned today from my "teacher" is that $3 billion dollars of taxpayer money is greater than $4 billion dollars in taxpayer money.
I am NOT SURPRISED that you get your information from Jon Stewart. ROTFL Are you not aware that he is a comedian?
Let's see you post Jon Stewart HAMMERING Obama. I can help you with that if you need.
BTW, FOX NEWS is the #1 cable news program. Has been for years and will be for years to come.

Well, OK, you don't have to point at me, but OK, fine. So what I have learned today from my "teacher" is that $3 billion dollars of taxpayer money is greater than $4 billion dollars in taxpayer money.
I guess I shouldn't be all that surprised, but I am disappointed that Jon Stewart would be that disingenuous. First of all, there is a HUGE difference between a program that takes tax payer money and GIVES it individuals and a tax ruling that merely LESSENS the amount of taxes a producer pays.

But let's look at the truth about that $4 billion:
$1 billion is for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to ensure against oil shortages.
$1 billiion is for farm fuel tax exemptions.
$570 million for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - the only reason it is called a "subsidy" is because it reduces the price of fuel
$1.7 billion from the manufacturer's tax deduction to encourage keeping manufacturing in the US - the same tax deduction that Apple and Microsoft use

"Because of misleading political rhetoric, people imagine these subsidies as cash payments to oil companies. But many of these subsidies are not what people think they are. In many cases they are benefiting people who have nothing to do with the oil industry - yet the money spent on these programs is still tallied against the oil industry."

And people love to scream in ignorance about the tax subsidies - a misnomer in reality - but lets look at the taxes oil companies DO pay:

Exxon in 2011:
"The number grabbing the headlines was Exxon's profit:$10.65 billion in a single quarter. The number not given quite as much exposure was the taxes it paid in that same quarter:$8 billion, or 42% of income before taxes."

'And what does Exxon do with all that money it has left after paying $8 B in taxes? It put $7.8 billion into capital and exploration, as part of its plans "to invest between $33 billion and $37 billion per year over the next five years to develop new energy supplies."'

"In any other industry, that would be called "research and development." Exxon is plowing 73% of its after-tax profits back into R&D. Who would be better at spending $4 billion of energy companies' earnings in an attempt to provide our energy in the future: the energy companies or Obama's energy czar?"
"Do you know what oil company does get US subsidies, and not just tax "breaks"? Petrobras, Brazil's state-owned oil company."

No, I do not……….but I do believe Obama and Kerry are playing from a weak hand………..and a weak foreign policy……….which if not handled correctly could lead to Russia being the first to use Nukes.…….and if they are the first…….just what in hell will be left of America???????, Or Russia??????, or any country??????????
From bad and inept Foreign policy, Wars are made………………..
The Ukraine was part of Russia before the breakup of the Soviet Union………..The U.S., along with other European countries have been courting Ukraine to become a member of NATO…….
America has NO business aggravating Russia, or any other country…………especially ones with Nukes……….This has come about from bad Foreign policy…….run by Obama…………….
Obama is under the delusion all countries will abide by the UN charter…………whereas Russia and China have shown all along they will go their separate ways in world affairs…………
You need to read this post all the way through to understand exactly what I am saying in regards to Obama and Kerry………
Did you not read these posts of mine??????/
"John Kerry: Russia has until Monday to reverse course in Ukraine"
So Kerry talks big....but when asked a question by a rino.......back peddles as quick as he can..........and says..........
"Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican and a top critic of President Obama's foreign policy, asked what the administration would do if Russian forces advance farther into the eastern area of Ukraine, and the new government in Kiev asks the U.S. for weapons to fight the Russians.
Kerry responded carefully, saying “we have contingencies – we are talking through various options that may or may not be available.”
“Our hope is not to create hysteria or excessive concern about that at this point in time,” he said.“Our hope is to avoid that, but there's no telling that we can.”
Or this one???????
“A comparison........
Libroids and conservatives argue here on topix .....we call each other names, insult each other, and post our point of view......words on topix only hurt feelings ......no actual war involved.....
Our Leaders, courtesy of a false hope and change, are attempting to play on the world stage using the same tactics as they did to take over the federal gubmint........Russia does not play their political games..... nor is Putin like us topix posters......
WE HAVE 2 LEADERS DEALING IN WORLD AFFAIRS WHEN THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR LEAGUE....
OBAMA, A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER.... AND KERRY, A POLITICAL LIFE BUILT UPON AND BASED ON BEING ANTI-WAR.....
Putin is not under estimating Obama and Kerry, but they are definitely under estimating Putin.....”
+1 good post!
The free western world countries, which includes the U.S. have no idea of what Russia is capable of.
Putin sees the leader of the free world our POTUS as weak and indecisive. He see's a war weary U.S. military and and citizens as tired, broke and weak. He knows that the American citizens are worried about having or getting jobs and not about some far away European county.
Russia has been building it's military up for the last 10 years. They have increased their technology and now have allies such as China and Iran.
Putin is a hardened KGB man that has had people murdered, tortured, and sent to labor camps.
Putin may very well be mentally unstable and want to dominate the world. He may think that this may be his big chance by gambling that no one will try to stop him.
There have been reports of Russia moving nuclear weapons out of their storage areas and of large troop movements.
Would Russia and China be forced to move on the world because of their own economic situations? We have no idea of how far they are willing to go.
Weakness will only signal to Russia and China to make their big move. It would not start out as a nuclear war but in time could escalate to that status. More than likely the Russians will take all they can right up to the brink if that ever occurs. They are betting that it doesn't occur.

"The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) announced on March 12th that the total cost of employing a state or local government worker is 45% more than an equivalent worker in the private sector.

For the month of December 2013, employers in private industry spent an average of $29.63 per employee hour worked, but the equivalent cost for a government worker averaged $42.89 per hour. Not only do government employees average 33% higher pay than those in the private sector, their pension and retirement benefit costs are now an incredible 254% higher also. Given that compensation formulas for federal, state, and local government are comparable, it should come as no surprise that this year spending by the U.S. government will exceed revenue by an all-time high of $744.2 billion, and our gross national debt is a stunning $18.5 trillion."

It's over:

"Acclaimed actor Robert Duvall - one of the few open conservatives in Hollywood - is leaving the Republican Party calling it "a mess".

Duvall, 83, a movie icon for his roles in The Godfather films, Tender Mercies and The Natural, among many others, tells The Daily Beast:

Let me say it this way: my wife's from Argentina, she's been here for a while, and she's very smart. She calls herself a 'tree-hugging Republican,' but she might even vote Democrat next time because the Republican Party is a mess. I'll probably vote Independent next time.

Some of these very conservative Republicans... I don't know, man. I believe in a woman's choice.

That's quite a turnaround for Duvall, who narrated most of the videos for the 2008 Republican National Convention. In September 2008, he appeared on stage at a John McCain-Sarah Palin rally in New Mexico. In 2012, Duvall endorsed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. And back in 2001 was personally invited to President George W. Bush's inauguration.

Duvall has been nominated for six Academy Awards, winning for his performance in Tender Mercies, six Golden Globes, winning four, and has multiple nominations and one win each of the BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Emmy Award. He received the National Medal of Arts in 2005."

I get the intent that has been in the works since 1998 to essentially "privatize" the internet out of US governmental control, but all you have to do is look at the UN and see how it has become the voice of every tin pot dictator and a tool of those enamored with socialism to worry about the integrity of the Internet after control shifts.

You have finally succeed in proving one thing, you brain is completely "washed", congrats.

Forbes is almost as bad as FNC, you do know who owns Forbes don't you, you do realize his reasons for saying what he says, don't you. Well maybe not.

People like you who scream when "they" talk about raising the minimum wage. Scream when "they" talk about helping the poor. You don't understand or care what the cost of energy to get to that place of work that doesn't even pay a living wage. Must less what it can do to 2 people earning minimum wage just to feed and to keep those kids warm in the winter. They have NOTHING, while the rich get richer and nuts like you praise them for their greed.

The oil companies are not the only ones at fault. The way fossil fuels are sold is in my opinion a true "Sin". Something that has such a huge impact on everyday life is traded like corn. If Putin farts in Russia, the price of gas goes up 5 cents or more. If he actually has a bowel movement it goes up 25 cents. That's on product already in the tank waiting to be sold, the true cost of the product has no impact on the price is sells for. The laws of supply and demand should not apply to products that kill people. Don't think they do, people with no money using space heaters just to warm themselves, or burning wood in a pot in the middle of the floor just to stay warm. Or old people just freezing to death.

This conduct coming from a people who claim to be from the human race, especially that part of the human race that "claims" to be Christians.
