You really are an easy target, the Democrats were in the majority under Bush that last two years (or the first of the eight years I speak of). Pretty much all policies during that time were Democrat initiatives, holdovers from Clinton mostly.
When are you RWW's going to stop blaming Clinton?

<quoted text>That is over simplifying the problem and not a very good example to support your point, Chickn... There are other factors to "climate change" unlike the simple experiment you referred to... There are many factoring contributors to " climate change" other than JUST US... And either way, most scientific studies that I've researched, ALL say the world will end... Right?
So in reality, we're just kickin the can... Right?
The earth and you will die one day? You, I, or nobody can stop it...
Not even your Mahdi, Obama...
We have to live, and unfortunately that takes money and jobs...
It's a perfectly good example. Chemically changing a one substance leads to results that are predictable by a model and 100% replicable. Same with coal.

In about 4-billion years the earth will be engulfed by our sun and cease to exist. The only thing we can do about that is to support science to get our species off this rock.

Way before that happens though - we are faced with a question we can do something about. Do we change how we live our lives so the earth's atmosphere can maintain human life, or is it just "too much hassle" to try to keep billions and billions of our children and grandchildren from experiencing apocalyptic changes that we have been created by the choices we make about greed and convenience?

I never claimed to be virtuous, and even if I did, what's that got to do with Soros? You're just throwing random weirdnesses into the same sentence now. What does Soros have to do with the Koch Brothers? They're not the same people, and they're not doing the same thing. Are you suggesting that they're equivalent? i know you don't want to make that argument, because it's an idiotic argument.
.....
Of course you don't think they're equivalent. If the Koch Bros sneeze, someone in media reports it as a secret signal to their "followers". And yet somehow all of Soros' connections and attempted/successful influence goes virtually unreported in this country.
==========
Executive Summary: George Soros: Godfather of the Left - highlights

$400 Million to Manipulate Higher Education" compared to the Koch Bros $7 million

Global Scandals Largely Unreported: Soros has admitted to helping start revolutions, funding radicals and attacking national currencies. His insider trading conviction in France cost him $3 million and has been upheld by European courts repeatedly. His foundations have been opposed by nations around the globe, yet almost the only negative press he has received on ABC, CBS and NBC was linked to a sex scandal with a 28-year-old Brazilian actress.

Political Contributions to Most Major Liberal Politicians: Soros has personally funded some of the top names in Americaís left from Barack Obama to Nancy Pelosi. Soros donates hundreds of millions to politically active liberal organizations as well.

More Than Half a Billion Dollars to Finance the Left: George Soros aids hundreds of left-wing groups in America each year under the auspices of his Open Society Foundations. Since 2000, Soros has given more than $550 million to liberal organizations in the U.S., underwriting every major liberal initiative Ė pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia, pro-gay marriage, pro-drug legalization, pro-union, pro-government-funded media and even attacks against the concept of free elections and voting for judges.

Soros has given more than $8.5 billion to his Open Society Foundations, leaving an imprint on more than 70 nations. Any business, organization or individual with that kind of financing and international reach is ripe for investigation. Itís time journalists did some digging on their own.

Treat Public Figures Equally: If someone on the left squawks about Charles and David Koch, journalists from some major news organizations jump to write about it. But criticisms of Soros, his business practices and even his conviction seldom get noted by the media. Journalists should treat all public figures equally.

Donít Ignore Soros Connections to Major News Events: Newspaper front pages are filled with protests, complaints and supposedly grassroots initiatives that are easily tied to Soros Ė through the Center of American Progress and other entities he funds. But that connection is almost never made made. Journalists ignore obvious funding connections and sometimes donít even check connections openly made on organizational websites. Itís the job of news to show when organizations are blatantly working together toward an end and to show the obvious ties these groups might share.

I voted against trickle-up economics, I voted against a tax & draft-dodging job-shipping, puppy-abusing, Navy contract-giving, can't add, Ayn-Rand worshipping hand-picked by the wealthy-don't care about most Americans, doesn't know geography, insurance-vouchering, let's tick off our best allies to prove how good I am at foriegn policy, "let Detroit go bankrupt", idiot team one time.
The other time I voted against the party that was insulting enough to put Sarah Palin on a ticket.
Did you vote for those guys? Why do you hate America? Seriously?
I could say I voted against -
-a pot smoking, cocaine user who "tried drugs enthusiastically" and spent the last years of high school "in a haze"
-who had a member of a terrorist organization responsible for the murder of a policeman and who said as late as 2001 that he "didn't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." ghost write his memoir
-who sat in a church for over 20 years listening to a racist minister
- who got a sweetheart property deal from Tony Rezko - a convicted political kickback felon who raised over $150,000 for Obama's campaign
- whose administration -despite numerous warnings - pushed through a $500 million dollar loan to Solyndra that then went bankrupt.(that same Solyndra that was 36% owned by the Kaiser Foundation, you know George Kaiser who spent $1.8 million lobbying and who visited Obama and/or aides 16 times
- whose Justice Dept chose to ignore attempted voter intimidation of the New
Black Panthers
- who administration snooped into the phone records of the Associated Press journalists
- who somehow knew virtually nothing that was going on in his own administration - from Fast and Furious to Benghazi to the IRS scandal to NSA wiretapping and on and on and on

You need an intervention. You've gone over the edge.
You know that November will give America a Democratic House, and 2016 will give America another Democratic president, right? You know that theory you have about the Republicans taking the Senate isn't even close to anything that's going to happen in the real-world, right?
Should we reserve your room at Belview now, or do you think you can come to grips with reality?
Gee, if the Dems are so sure they're going to win why are so many Democratic donors giving up on the House and working to maintain Dem hold on the Senate. Think they might know something you don't? Why did Henry Waxman, after posting in Dec about all the work he still wanted to accomplish in the House, decide last week to retire in Nov. After all, if the House is going Democrat that would put him back in the chairmanship position for the House Energy and Commerce Committee. You'd think he would want that little status enhancement back.

It's not about "who" with the Democrats. It's about what Democrats are and what they've done. America is sick of them and their desire to micromanage our lives and their putting unions ahead of the workers whose dues pay for those Democrat campaign contributions - whether they like it or not. America is sick of their policies that destroy families and have led to an explosion in the illegitimacy rate because those policies discourage having the father in the home. America is sick of an attempt to nationalize healthcare that is resulting in more people losing their insurance policies than are gaining policies, that is resulting in higher premiums and higher deductibles. Unfortunately, it is not their party the Democrats are destroying, it is this country.

In your world that's the case, in the rest of the world that's utterly ridiculous. Same tactic you use in politics, the majority is wrong, the minority is right. Doesn't work in science or in a democracy, must be a malfunction of the brain, you should have that checked.
Being cited as the most frequently cited climatologist in the world means nothing more than he is on a LOT of conservative talk while other scientist's are busy working in their chosen field for a living.
I would love to see a survey that polled ALL scientists in the world - not just the ones with the foregone conclusions so embedded in their brains that no evidence that contradicts their pet theory can be allowed to even bounce off their foreheads.
