A Rino at work..........Save $20 billion over 10 years while teh Feds spend over $4 billion each day.......so we save 5 days of fed spending over a 10 year period........
Yep, Ryan will remain in Wisconsin the rest of his life, will never be voted to President.....

"House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) has doubled down on his move to cut pensions for military veterans in a USA Today op-ed published Sunday.

In the op-ed, Ryan opens up by highlighting the CBO estimate that the deal he cut with Senate Budget Committee chairwoman Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) would result in at least $20 billion in deficit reduction.“The Bipartisan Budget Act that Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., and I drafted will soon become law,” Ryan wrote.“We think it’s a small step toward fiscal discipline in Washington. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill will reduce the deficit over the next ten years by over $20 billion. And unlike current law, it will provide much-needed relief to our already strained defense budget.”

As Breitbart News has reported, Ryan’s and Murray’s budget deal does not reduce the deficit. In fact, the deal raises the deficit by at least $15.5 billion because of a series of gimmicks that Ryan and Murray employed in the accounting of the deal — namely, double counting of savings like the tactic which was employed in Obamacare, and the failure to include an estimate of the interest on the borrowed money for the first couple of years of increased spending. These are only a few among a series of other misleading statements Ryan has made about the deal."

Pure speculation, and cherry picked at that.
What percentage of it do you think he/she understands? 40%? 50%?

No comprehension of embedded (or is it imbedded?) taxes, eliminating tax returns, the off shore cash that could return and be re-invested in this country?

I guess reading the book is too much effort...

Some of the bridges in the desert are actually very well engineered, very valuable, and in their own way very cost efficient.

You boys just get dumber and dumber with every post..........

A regressive tax is a regressive tax, plain and simple....

"Bruce Bartlett, a former Treasury Department official, says the prebate does little to change the regressive nature of the tax, because people will spend their prebate and it will be taxed at the same 23 percent rate.

"Even with the rebate counted the way the Fair Tax supporters want it calculated — as a reduction in tax liability rather than an increase in income — there would be an enormous shift in the tax burden from the wealthy to those with lower middle incomes," Bartlett wrote in a story for the magazine Tax Notes."

"Enforcement is also a significant concern for the Fair Tax. The 23 percent tax rate supported by the Fair Tax proponents assumes that most people would pay the taxes they owe. Economists say that when sales taxes reach that level, the incentive for people to cheat rises. People will try to buy things off the books, and underground economies will develop. To compensate for tax evasion, the tax would have to be raised even higher, which would lead to more evasion. Abolishing the Internal Revenue Service would exacerbate this problem, said economist Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, D.C.

"At the end of this story, when you add in some state sales taxes, we could be close to 50 percent," Baker said."

"I would like your source on the percentage of income point, cause you are wrong again or using numbers after all the write offs and deductions that only the rich can use. That includes the ability to use the capital gains tax almost exclusively, the middle class can't do that."
Being that the amount of income tax paid is based upon taxable income, not gross earnings, it is appropriate to use write offs and deductions. BTW, capital gains calculation is separate and independent from the deductions and write offs you reference.
However, to say "only the rich can use" is a clueless and uneducated comment. One of wealth envy, too.
Another BTW, I know many middle class people that utilize capital gains treatment when filing tax returns.
"The fair tax is never going to happen, and if it did the resulting law would not be much different than todays system. "
Oh, so a tax system based on taxable income (which can be quite a quite complex calculation) wouldn't be much different that enacts a national sales tax. REALLY? You can't be serious, or you know EVEN LESS about the FairTax than what you profess.
You really should only post about things you know, not what you think you know. You're wrong. Nothing wrong with that, you just don't know it...
Only read to the part about uneducated and clueless, know what you are correct!!!

But I do know about income tax, I pay it. I also know about capital gains tax, I pay using that gift from the rich depending on what the investment is. I know that if I was rich enough I could pay almost all income tax using the capital gains tax loophole. I also know I pay a lesser percentage of tax than you do at McDonalds. I take advantage to all the tax write offs available, thanks to the business I have. Because of the business I am in my accountant takes advantage of what the very rich have put in place for themselves. Most middle class workers can't or the small amount of money that qualifies as capital gain is insignificant. From most of what you say my taxes must be a whole lot more complicated than yours, but that's no surprise now is it.
Then you wonder off on the fair tax ride, again the resulting legislation when the 1% get their way as they always do will result in very little if any difference. The fair tax is a fairytale, fairytales seldom if ever come true. To many people make a living with the current tax system, to many jobs to bet on the unknown. To many politicians are lawyers and get "donations" from the 1% who have no interest in the fair tax experiment. I know more about how things work in the real world than you ever will. I know you are an arrogant ass, even more clueless than the so called clueless and uneducated you love to put down. Education in todays world is not a e-ticket to success, just look at the current crop of billionaires, then look at fools like you.
