What's next? Tell ya what, you put someone on the platform to be elected that you can trust 100 percent, and I will go vote. I don;t see where one vote will make a difference, as we saw in Florida with trucks containing ballots mysteriously disappear, and then reappear, but that might have been a good thing, as Gore would have done nothing more than regulate our lives and bore us to death.

If a congressman was elected by the people of their district on the premise that he would go against a law they didn't like, fine - he has on obligation to try to get that law changed through the legislative process. Those guys tried that - over 50 times. They did their job, the didn't get what they wanted, that's that. No problems so far.

But to hold up something COMPLETELY SEPERATE, like America paying her bills, to get what you want, that IS hostage taking. It is terrorism. They've threatened America unless their demands are met.

That's not politics, that's political terrorism. The correct terms are being used to describe these utterly immature and irresponsible idiots in the Tea Party.

When Reid tried to get the process started in the Senate, the usual suspects from the GOP rose one by one with objections. This was a charade that went on for weeks. They made it clear that they wanted the Democrats consent agreement in advance on all of the elements in the Ryan budget passed by the House or there would be no conference. They were the ones who didn’t want to negotiate. Read the verbatim transcripts in the Congressional Record from April 24 to May 15. The Republicans never even appointed conferees to the conference because they didn’t want to negotiate. Instead they let the clock run out on the fiscal year knowing that they made no appropriations for the new fiscal year. They didn’t even reauthorize 2013 spending to avoid disruptions on October 1. The President is wise not to negotiate with Republican extortionists.“

I don't know about that guy. He seems to be a doofus in some aspects. Foreign relations definitely would not be his bag. He obviously isn't good with money since he has tried and failed miserably to arouse any real support. What we are going to need, is someone who isn't born of the cloth cut to be a politician, but someone who is realistic. If I were ever elected President of this country, the first thing I would do is fire everyone. I'd have to have a sit down LONG talk with the other leaders in the world, and let them know that the normal people of this country were really never in support of most of the garbage the past 6 or 7 administrations have filled your people's heads with. China tried the same thing with their folks, and they know that the vast majority of the world's citizens are completely sick of being thrown under the bus to appease our wonderfully democratically elected officials. I guarantee you, that you give me 3 days with anyone to talk rationally with them, smooth over the junk that has been spewed out since my inception into the world, and they will have no choice but to try and iron out a plan to fix the socioeconomic disasters our country has levied upon us, as well as their countrymen. 3 years await. Someone has to do something quickly, or it is for sure going straight south.

Great quote from a CNN article today:

A few geeks locked in a room with a case of Mountain Dew will fix the Obamacare websites. But all the computer programmers and pundits and conservative nay-sayers in the land couldn't fix the fact that, three years ago, our health care costs were skyrocketing, tens of millions of Americans lacked health insurance and 14,000 more were losing their coverage every day.

It helps keep things in perspective.

<quoted text>Well this is another glittering jewel of ignorance once again presuming that another poster doesn't have insurance - try again.

What I understand - try to keep up - is that Obamacare is a disaster and was from the beginning. We have politicians and bureaucrats with NO CLUE about the complexities of our health care system thinking that just because they say Obamacare will work, it will work. Instead of tackling the main points of concern - the uninsured, they decide that they will remake the ENTIRE industry to fit their little template. Of course it is failing. The reasons have been enumerated on here too many times to need to repeat them. And now you have Democrats (especially those up for reelection in 2014) seeing the handwriting on the wall if this monstrosity doesn't get dumped and so they are calling for delays at minimum and some are calling for outright repeal. Gee, where were they four weeks ago?

And your comment about looking forward is hilarious, please pass that along to IO and company. When a QUOTATION fits a situation, it is irrelevant when it was first stated.

After all, the following quote from George Carlin explains the election and reelection of Obama perfectly:
“Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.”
Nobody noticed you avoided the main issue.

As long as Freeloading Right Wing Deadbeats receive medical care , whether they pay for it or not, Freeloading Right Wing Deadbeats refuse to pay for it.

Watching Right Wingers fight so hard to avoid buying their own medical insurance simply confirms what rational Americans already know - Right Wingers are a bunch on hypocritical welfare-loving parasites.

RWWs don't pay for their idiotic wars, their tax cuts for the rich, their bloated War Department, their Medicare and Medicare Part D, or their Great Bush Recession.

There's no way they're gonna pay for their own medical care.

Those who still fought the good fight in September were doing what they were ELECTED to do and were TRULY representing their constituents. That is their job. I wonder how many of you calling them "hostage takers" and "anarchists" and "terrorists" for peacefully DOING WHAT THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO used those same terms for the REAL holders of those terms - the Occupy idiots who destroyed property and blocked people from their places of business.

Sorry Freeloading Right Wing Deadbeats can't avoid paying for a real medical insurance policy by paying $1.99 per month for your cancer policy that pays $25.00 per day toward your $$2,243,738.92 medical bill.

Damn... Do Right Wingers ever experience any shame at all for their machinations to force me to pay for their wars and their medical bill ?

How do Right Wingers look their children and grandchildren in the eyes, knowing they devote their lives to dump in all their medical costs on other, including their own children and grandchildren.

Right Wing Wackos ask silly childish questions to avoid their own duplicity and responsibility.

When 60 people were killed by terrorists at U.S. embassies and consulates during Right Wing Wacko Bush's administration you were demanding to hold RWWs responsible.- oh no .... things just happen.

When 3,000 people were killed by terrorists in NYC during Right Wing Wacko Bush's administration you were demanding to hold RWWs responsible.- oh no .... things just happen.

When 5,0000 American troops were killed in the MidEast and Iraq as a result of Right Wing Wacko Bush's lies and greed, you were demanding to hold RWWs responsible.- oh no .... things just happen.

RWWs got no cred. to demand answers, especially to silly questions.

When RWWs wash our troops blood off their hands and apologize for their idiocy- maybe their childish whining could be heard.

Well, moving isn't beyond the realm of possibility. However, if I threw out a campaign slogan of "Keep your money, as I need no contributions at all, and prefer to walk to every destination to lobby the real Americans for one solid leadership, in which all of the general public is involved in the democratic process of deciding what is best for the masses, and free beer for all", I'm pretty sure I could jack someone out of a presidency, for being honest.

The Presidents of our lifetimes have failed us miserably. Just look at the horrendous things we say to each other, in a feeble attempt to belittle those who voted for this guy, this lady, this whatever they are, etc. If you really can put a thumbtack on it, it really isn't much different from the 80's when the bloods and crips were warring over turf. Sit, think, understand.

Your leaders have destroyed you. Taken you to the lowest form of being. It's become the saddest form of a government known to man. Division. I have often said it, and will say it again. You are failing yourselves by dividing yourselves among classes. The day you cut yourselves out of the pattern that has been laid out before you, will be the day that we can actually make us the superpower we are supposed to be, rather the laughingstock our elected individuals have made us out to be. I'd think you would be mad as all get out about that, but instead, the mass public decides to lay blame upon each other for the complete imbeciles they vote in. "My guy won, and yours didn't. My guy lost, and it's your fault that things are so bad". Sound familiar?

Great.

Let's all support his stated goals:

Shut down Socialist Security;
Shut down Socialist Medicare;
Shut down the Socialist V.A.;
Stop insuring banks;
Stop providing Socialist Public Education;
Stop regulating credit card companies;
Make it easier to foreclose on homes;
Stop the Socialist Center for Disease Control;
Stop regulating factories and plants that make pesticides, fertilizers, nuclear waste,

Use the bodies of the old, the poor, and the sick that can't survive as fuel, or "Soylent Green."

I love Rand Paul's Darwinian belief in survival of the fittest.

As the old, the sick, and the poor die off, my labor costs will plummet (serfs work cheap), taxes will drop, and my family will be fine.

Too bad about everyone else.

And for once, Right Wing Wackos will get to experience the results of their lunacy that rational Americans have protected them from.

Nope.

You can't rewrite and falsify history that easily.

That sound you hear is the last shred of integrity you had walking out the door.

Wave goodbye.

Even an extreme Right Winger can't possibly believe that silliness.

Your Teapublican leaders,(having lost in the elections and in the court),
proudly and openly threatened to extort and blackmail by shutting down our government and dishonoring our debt, unless they got by blackmail, what democracy denied them.

Then when your Teapublicans bullying and blackmail was refused,
your Teapublicans treasonously extorted and blackmailed America, shutting down the government as threatened.

Your Teapublican leaders did their extortion. And blackmail proudly, actually expressing pride in having damaged America.

Here's a hint - just as Right Wingers look foolish when they take pride in stopping Obama, at the same time they complain Obama was unsuccessful;

Right Wingers look even more foolish, proudly openly and expressly threatening to shut down the government, then openly and expressly taking credit for shutting down the government, and now claiming they didn't shut down the government.

RWWs taking credit for an act, while denying having committed the act, is entertaining, idiotic, but entertaining.

That's where I think you might be wrong.

Sure ... Every Right Wing Administration since Eisenhower has exploded the deficit, increased the debt, devastated the Middle Class by attacking Unions, and damaged the Constitution.

But, as the smart money knows, every Right Wing Administration is a huge success for the Elite 1%, the war profiteers, the Arabs, and the multinational corporations.

Only average Americans suffer.
