Obama was GIVEN the Nobel PEACE Prize(for doing nothing)(also, rather IRONIC) and NOW he wants to attack Syria. You liberals think as long as OBAMA is doing it, it's okay. His reasons are "valid". Do you understand how ridiculous that is?????
Do you understand how STUPID you liberals look supporting that? On the one hand, you stomp around slamming Bush while saying the U.S. ISN"T the world's police, but now that YOUR HERO wants to ride into Dodge City flashing his badge, well, that's AWESOME! So NOW it's GREAT to be the world's police. Right?
As far as the pledge, I'm not surprised. Even if the poll showed a vast majority favored leaving "under God" in the pledge, the minority rules, so......

Yosemite Wildfire Started By Hunter's Illegal Fire, U.S. Forest Service Announces
By TRACIE CONE 09/05/13 07:12 PM ET EDT AP
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/05/yose...

SACRAMENTO, Calif.— A gigantic wildfire in and around Yosemite National Park was caused by an illegal fire set by a hunter, the U.S. Forest Service said Thursday.

The agency said there is no indication the hunter was involved with illegal marijuana cultivation, which a local fire chief had speculated as the possible cause of the blaze.

No arrests have been made, and the hunter's name was being withheld pending further investigation, according to the Forest Service.

A Forest Service statement gave no details on how the illegal fire in a remote canyon of the Stanislaus National Forest had escaped the hunter's control on Aug. 17. Because of high fire danger across the region, the Forest Service had banned fires outside of developed camping areas more than a week before the fire started.....

Ah.... Those damn pesky facts:
How many days has President Barack Obama been on vacation since assuming office in January 2009? How much has he golfed? CBS News Correspondent Mark Knoller has the answers.
As of Aug. 13, 2013, Obama is on his 15th vacation trip, covering all or part of 96 days total.
At the same point in his presidency, George W. Bush had made 51 visits to his ranch in tiny Crawford, Texas, totaling all or part of 335 days.
Bush also traveled seven times to his family’s oceanside compound in Kennebunkport, Maine, covering all or part of 26 days — bringing his total number of vacation days at this point in his presidency to 349 days.
What about former President Bill Clinton? At this point in his second term, he had taken 11 vacations covering all or part of 84 days.
And former President Ronald Reagan? At this point in his second term he had made 29 trips to his ranch in California, spanning all or part of 180 days.
So .... the facts:
Bush - 349 vacation days
Reagan- 180 vacation days
Obama - 96 vacation days
Clinton - 84 vacation days
Now let's here all the Right Wing Wackos explain how Obama, who takes 1/4 the vacation days Bush took, and 1/2 the vacation days Reagan took, is perpetually on a government funded vacation schedule.
Now let's here all the Right Wingers explain how Right Wing Wacko Republican Presidents, who take 400% more vacation time than Democratic Presidents, are "hard working".

Battling the Internet Water Army: Detection of Hidden Paid Posters

We initiate a systematic study to help distinguish a special group of online users, called hidden paid posters, or termed "Internet water army" in America, from the legitimate ones. On the Internet, the paid posters represent a new type of online job opportunity. They get paid for posting comments and new threads or articles on different online communities and websites for some hidden purposes, e.g., to influence the opinion of other people towards certain social events or business markets.

Though an interesting strategy in business marketing, paid posters may create a significant negative effect on the online communities, since the information from paid posters is usually not trustworthy. When two competitive companies hire paid posters to post fake news or negative comments about each other, normal online users may feel overwhelmed and find it difficult to put any trust in the information they acquire from the Internet.

In this paper, we thoroughly investigate the behavioral pattern of online paid posters based on real-world trace data. We design and validate a new detection mechanism, using both non-semantic analysis and semantic analysis, to identify potential online paid posters. Our test results with real-world datasets show a very promising performance.

Obviously you are another citizen that skipped Civics 101 in school. If you had been in attendance you would know that We the People vote every two years to elect people who represent us in proportional districts throughout the country. These elected representatives can propose laws, like English only, anytime they wish, and if enough of their fellow representatives agree then the law will be passed. Course it would still have to pass the Senate and be signed by the President, and in our representative republic that is how our government oppresses us.

Iraq War is imperial overstretch & may cause US collapse.
I supported Pat Buchanan in his run for President in 1992. I went to see him speak and you know what I saw? People protesting outside the building where he was to speak. They had signs that had swastikas on them calling Buchanan a dirty Nazi. Later that night I watched the local news and they ran the story on Pat. Not anything that he said but what the loud mouthed protesters were saying. The media made it look as if the protesters were correct. The media made the man look unfit to be president. The news media hated him and went after him just as you have seen them do to certain others that run for president.
I have no idea of how many of the so called Buchanan quotes that you wrote are true. Your record for being truthful isn't that great, but I am not going to take the time and look them up, as at this date it really doesn't matter.
BTW Buchanan was a Right Wing Conservative Republican. So what do you think of that? Can't seem to decide which side you are on?
