Addendum to post #23432
I would think it self-evident that while the Founders did not establish a state religion, the majority -if not all- were raised in the Christian faith. Some of them left a Christian orthodoxy and became more Theist or Deist, but their "moral foundation" is easily described as one based on the Judeo/Christian worldview. The majority of those who initially came to this country in that time period were Christian in their beliefs. While the Founders did not establish a "Christian" nation, so to speak, I would say it is undeniable that the country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles. Just thought I should clarify my position.
And a correct position, even thought the denier says otherwise.
