Pastors agree: Being gay not a sin, Bible says to love everyone

Everybody who calls the bible just a book written by man but do u think that God is just going to sit on top of a mountain like greek mythology or something. God does not rule this world satan does. Before adam and eve sinned God walked among them in the garden of eden. Why wouldnt God want us to know the information provided in the bible he had to tell everyone somehow. How would u even know about God in the first place? And of course you're supposed to love everyone. In the old testiment we had the ten commandments to follow but we r human and no one in this world is perfect. No one made it to heaven but those who followed these commandments were sent to purgatory. Then in the new testiment Jesus was crucified and he retrieved everyone from purgatory and God turned 10 commandments into 2, Love the lord thy God with all thy heart, thy soul, and thy strenth and love your neighbor as you would yourself. God condems homosexuality because it is lust which is a sin. Sin is sin tho and no one sin is greater than another but we all sin and we serve a forgiving God so u would not go to hell you just have to repent of a sin which you know clearly is wrong. Does it even make sense to have more than one God or a Godess? What are their roles? Why would you want to serve more than one? They obviously dont have the power to handle all you need by themselves so thier has to b more than one.....c'mon. We try to find ways to justify our sin because it applies to us directly. Do you think if God was ok with homosexuality that He would have made it that way since the begining of time. And how is it that if people are born homosexual why isn't everyone born that way. We all came from a woman the same way so why would something like that be so different for someone unless it was thier own choice. God is not vengeful he is quite merciful actually. How do u think u wake up every morning? If He was so vengeful dont u think He would take everyone out because we ALL sin, duh. Where at in the bible does it say we should hate one another? God does want us to look upon sin like he does though but that doesn't mean hate big difference. God gives everyone choice and free will and that is why it is so great any religion is basically forced but God wants a relationship with you He wants to be your best friend if you sin against your best friend its not gonna be easy for him/her to look at you, right? So the point is open your mind to the bible and what is in it, think eternally and the truth shall set you free.

Maybe. Makes as much sense as being everywhere and nowhere, or hanging out in "heaven".

Well, my ancestors learned about what is called "god" by observing and interacting with the world around them. What couldn't be explained fell under the label "god".

You know someone who came back? Then how do you know that that's what happened, and it wasn't what the Greeks believed or the Vikings, or the Cherokee, or the Incas, or the Chinese? Maybe that's what happened to the desert peoples of the middle east...but that doesn't mean that it applies to everyone. That's wishful thinking on your part.

Ok, you just said that there's only two commandments. If a sin is going against god's commandments, which one is homosexuality a sin against? It's not even a sin against the original 10.

Because the world is large, and people developed different religions in response to their environment. I suppose one god made sense to the desert folk. To people in highly volcanic areas, there was a god who controlled the fires; in areas where there was ice and snow, there were gods who brought ice and snow. Most creatures reproduce by having two genders. So, why wouldn't the gods have two genders?

There have been homosexuals since the begining of time. And why are some people born with blue or brown eyes, or with blonde or red hair, or with long noses or dimples? Why doesn't everyone look exactly alike? Why are some people right or left handed, or ambidexterous? Why do I like sauerkraut but hate liver, when my friend loves liver but hates sauerkraut? Can you chose to like what you find repulsive? Or be repulsed by what you like?

Maybe because what you think is a sin isn't a big deal to god? Who made you the arbiter of what a sin is?

Yeah, yeah, hate the sin love the sinner. Heard that one before. Problem comes when you start defining a person by what their "sin" is. Kind of hard to separate person from sin then.

Biblical "free will" is an illusion. Go ahead, do what you want, but when you die you will be tortured constantly until the end of time. I wouldn't want a best friend like that.

I'll try to answer a couple of your questions (at least from my own perspective).

Why worship more than one God or Goddess? I believe there is one "Divine" entity. However, that entity can manifest in many different ways. I don't see much difference between honoring one deity or many, as they are all human-created representations of the same thing.

I believe that most of the laws in the Bible were created by man, not God. Also, many of the Scriptures quoted to condemn homosexuality are considered by many Biblical scholars to actually NOT referring to homosexuality at all, in their original language. The prejudice against homosexuals was an issue in that culture at that time; what better way to entrench it than to include it in the Bible and say "Oh, God doesn't like this!"?

"...if people are born homosexual why isn't everyone born that way." For the same reason everybody isn't born with blue eyes, or red hair, detached earlobes, or other attributes determined by genetics. Unless we have an identical twin, we're ALL different.

An important question of homosexually is wether it is nature or nurture. I'm not a homosexual so I cant say, but i honestly feel that if you are born a male you are by all means a male. To think otherwise, is not nature, but the way you were raised (in my opinion). Aside from biblicaly, rationally I dont see how homesexuality makes sense, at least sexualwise. The anus is not made for anything to go in, but rather out. Plus, in humans and animals alike, sex is for consumption purposes first, pleasure second, so if they cannot concive NATURALLY, sex is useless. Men and women were created to reproduced, Genesis itself says, when God tells them to fill the earth. Now, biblically the bible condemns homosexuality very much so. And yes, we must all love one another, but we cannot love each other's sin. Honestly i feel it is impossible to claim that homosexuality is not condemened by the bible and untimately by God. I'm no expert (many of you will notice), but in my opinion and understading of both the Bible and rational thinkng, homosexuality doesnt make sense and is wrong and a sin (my opinion, disagree or agree). I means why then are there two different sexes? Biblically, why didnt God just create men to concive with men and love men? And if you are an atheist, why didnt we evolve into one sex, why do we need both sexes? Two sexes were created for a reason.

Oh you're from Kentucky!!! I absolutely LOVE Kentucky. I go there canoing every year with my friend Todd. We always go down this one river where a lot of hillbillies hang out. We paddle really slowly until a hillbilly jumps out in front of us and grabs our canoe. We act like we're real scared and stuff and he then takes us into the woods where another hillbilly is waiting. Then they make us "pray" and squeal like pigs. We act like we don't like it.... and go like, "Oh please Mr. Hillbilly whatever you do please don't commit acts of sodomy on us, and then we like snicker to each other when they're not looking and stuff. Then when they're all exhausted they let us go and we paddle down aways till some more hillbillies stop us. It is soooo much fun. If you give me your email addy I'll let you know next time we go so you can get some friends and intercept us yourself. It will be so much fun. Then afterwards we can all pray together.

Being gay not a sin? Let's let God determine that. When the bible speaks of love, you take it to mean sex. I love my truck but it has nothing to do with sex. Problem is queers don't have enough brain that functions to understand the difference.

Who says homosexuality is a choice? Does anybody happen to hear any child saying he/she wants to be gay when he/she grows up? No one, I believe. Do straight have to choose to becoming straight? No, they don't have to because they are emotionally created to be straight just like gay people are emotionally created to be gay.
