Thats great staff anywhere is doing a job some are ass holes but really think about it our loves ones shouldn't be there yeah and they shouldn't have been doing what they were doing. no matter what we love them and will be there for them lets just pray for a safe return home

To whom it may concern, hazelton is a very dangerous place.i can't tell you how I know, but the guards there our to protect other guards, the inmates, and society it self from very harden criminal. I see it day in and day out how inmates try to manipulate staff. The reason they go on lock-down so much is the gang violence. i don't wish that kind of life on anybody, but they were found guilty by a jury of there piers, so time they must do.

My son is in Hazelton, and I've heard the gaurds provoked the inmates into killing each other so they can get Hazardous Duty Pay!MY son and many others are doing time for non-violent offences. Why haven't the gaurds been charged with `Conspiracy to commit murder?"Also, the counselor is not available. Our family calls 2 to 3 times a day, trying to see why his fathers paperwork has not been processed,or why he was denied a visit when he went there. The counselor only comes in about one day a month. My son was there for almost 3 months before he was approved for phone priveleges and mail. They are on lockdown a lot, which is wrong, because survelience camaras should be used to cut down on violence, keep the gaurds honest, and punish ONLY the guilty. This wouldn't be as costly as paying dishonest gaurds, and it would be a safer envirement for both inmates and gaurds.Cameras should be everywhere!
Well,I received bad info, not from my son but from someone outside. My son doesn't like lockdown, but other than that he has no complaints.

What percentage of the current population would be the 'harden criminal' as you call it? Many are also there to do their time and get out. Why does the entire community have to suffer? If they would place all the 'harden criminal' in a location like the ADX and keep them locked down 24/7 possibly the general populations thru out the BOP would not have to pay as much.

since you have an 'inside', would you by chance know what this so called group demonstration lock down is about?

Anyway of getting a recent picture of one of the inmates?

A convicted child murderer "who has done his time" is about to be released, and the authorities won't show us what he looks like now.

His name is Raymond Guay, formerly from NH.

This has got to be the dumbest shit that I heard all day. If he is in there, then he did "something" that caused him to be sent to a MAXIMUM security institution. Isn't it on the inmates to keep family members notified. He needs to get up off his ass and keep his family notified. I am so sick of these criminals thinking that someone owes them something when THEY broke the law. The guards weren't around when he broke the law and the guards are probably the ones keeping him from getting his ass kicked on a daily basis. He needs to man up, do his time and shut up.

WOW! Im sure this person is just a concerned parent...The issue is not what caused them to end up in there..the issue is trying to get these government workers (guards, wardesn, etc.)to control what goes on in these penitentiary's..We all know everything has a price whether its orgainzed or unorganized..

That's the problem--When the "government" workers try to control what is going on, it is the inmates that don't want to follow "established" policies and procedures. The guards (or any other government workers) did not make the rules. Those rules were made echelons above their heads. They are there to make a living. Inmates don't want guards to be in control, then they are less in control. When inmates want to run their mouths about guards, they fail to tell their families that it is those same guards that put their lives on the line to save them from rival inmates. Naturally, inmates will attempt to paint a picture that contradicts the truth. I suggest that you inquire about the incidents that your family members (inmates) are committing in these institutions. The inmates are the ones trying to manipulate a system that has been designed to allow them to humanely fulfill their obligation to society. They were not boyscouts when they got arrested, and they clearly don't turn into boyscouts while they are there. I can even go as far to say that I am sure there are guards (government workers) that don't do what they are supposed to either, but I go back to the fact that the issues in most prisons are a direct result of inmates and their attempts to manipulate the system.

Inmate? Stop lying. You're a co.
Pimp wrote:
I was an inmate at USP Hazelton..and I have to tell you the truth. The CO's there have the toughest jobs. Many of you think your love ones are innocent..but i can tell you they are not. We tried are best to get this officers to fight, but most of them are fairer than anyone I have met. When your family says they are being mistreated they are lying. Most inmates like myself lied to you. We owed money to other inmates for gambling debts and for habits we had that is why we need the extra cash. Those officers lifes are in danger more than you think. It is nothing for an inmate to try an take an officer our. All this negative talk is bold lies. For those of you who have love ones at the prison...the only fear you should have is if they get hooked up with a gang or start to owe...Its not the staff you have to worry about. Trust me I was one of the ones trying to get over, I lied to my family daily. You should be thanking those who do come to work, they kept us safe, unless we did something that broke honor and it does not matter what they do, if another inmate wants to get me, then I would be got.

Yes,my son was dealing drugs, but the "conspiracy" charge helped net him 16 years, one year LESS than his cellmate, who shot some one and was charged with attemted murder!Drugs are the only crime with a mandatory minimum, and he's in Fedeal Max cause they made a mistake on his points! He has to do 18 months before he can get a reveiw, cause the Feds are allowed to make mistakes on "shit like that".Also, when the inmates are in lockdown, they are on food ratios.I'm just saying, lock down the people involved in the fights, not everyone!
