I try to be a fair person and give everyone a chance to set things right. We had reserved seats at KARMA in Frankfort for dinner New Years Eve. Stacy dad was coming up from Ithaca, we drove from Winfield and several friends were meeting us. We got there to find a sign in the driveway stating they were closed due to illness! There was no updated message on the phone or on their website! Just a sign in the parking lot we got to read as we pulled in at 7:30 on NY eve!!!!!! So I called them today to see if they planned on doing anything to make this right. The owner cried of how sick he was and then how much money he lost!!!! Not of a word of how sorry he was he ruined our NY eve! He said he had a party of 20 and how bad that was! Well, I am sure they felt no worse then we did!!! Since we go there often and usually take friends with us he just lost even more because we will NEVER go back again!
I need to add that Swifty's on Genesee St. in Utica not only got us right in at 8 p.m. but we had a GREAT meal and fantastic service! They saved our New Years Eve and will continue to get our business!

What do you mean going out of business? You mean they never refunded anyone? How do YOU know this? Is the cheesecake thing still going on?

We went there when ever we were in town and since I live 45 miles away I consider that pretty loyal. We will never go there again after the way we were treated!

You have every right to get sick but a good business person does not leave themselves in a position that if ONE person is sick the entire place closes! NOT on NY eve! Most GOOD resturants take phone numbers so they can call people if something happens! They don't just leave people hanging and then not even be sorry about it but be rude!

I can't speak for anything but NY eve but nothing was done to make up for it! No comp meal or drink and not even "we are sorry" It was more like tough, what do you want from us. Well, they lost a lot fo business because of their disregard for their customers. No one I have talked to is going there again! They lost a party of 8 this last weekend!

He put a sign in the driveway on NY eve. So you get there at 7 pm, then what, what do you do at that point on NY eve. We drove from Ithaca and Winfield NY to have our evening destroyed, nice way to start NY eve. No message on his answering machine, no note on his website, nothing on the news! Just left us all high and dry. When I called to ask him if he could do anything to set this right he got nasty with me!

hey? for real? the guy got sick. it could be worse & NO sign was put up at all. right? maybe everybody is not givin him a chance. ya think? it doesn't seem to me that someone who owns a business is going to make a bad choice (like you all are saying) and hurt his business UNLESS he was sick. think about it!

should of had Simone call and cancel the reservatiks. That's a common courtesy any restursnt should to if they want to continue business nit leave a sign in the parking lot.
