Tropical Storm Helene formed this afternoon in the southern Gulf of Mexico.A Winds as shown are at 45 mph.A Movement is northwest at 7. You never know what Helene Might do...computer models be damned. As long as it has the potential to reemerge into the Gulf, which it still does, it bears watching. Its unlikely, but you never know, it could turn northeast, hit the gulf again, swell up to category 2 in hours, and Hit Corpus or Galveston within 24 hrs..its happened before.
