Dear people who reads this post and hopefully you Tracy Rohde! Have you ever heard of a man that goes to apply for custody for his kids if he gets divorced lets say on monday, he knows that his wife has started to be romanticly interested in a co-worker and Tracy Rohdes husband had a big nice house, steady work, a car and he wasn't suffering for any lethal deceases and his physics was about average or better. Have you heard of a guy in that situation that the day after, on tuesday commit SUICIDE???
He had everything to live for and he took precaution to get out of his marriage with full custody for his kids.
And have you ever heard of a MAN that decide to kill himself and take a pillow over his head so that he could shoot himself silently???
I don't know of any known case where a man had taken a pillow over his head to shoot himself...
When men decide to kill themself with a gun, it is in 99% of the cases a shot through the mouth or througt the side of the head.
If you reconstruct the shooting scene, it is extremely hard to point a gun to your head and to hold the gun still so that you can commit the suicide.
And after you have shot yourself, it is IMPOSSIBLE to end up with the gun in one hand and the other on the pipe of the gun....
So Tracy Rohdes motive was crystal clear: She was in panic because she saw that she could end up loosing her kids and the house too...and she had already find another man that she had started to get romanticly involved with.
And when you watch the documentary "48 hours" where day have actual interviews of mrs Rohde, you can see that she flicker her eyes on certain questions and that indicates that she is not telling the truth. And another shocking evidence was that mrs Rohde washed her hands immediately after she found her husband dead, and when she was confronted with that, she told the investigators that she was in shock??? But she was clear enough to dial the number to her work to tell that she wasn't comming the next day???
When you analyze her so called crying, you will see no tears, cause her heart feels no anger.
And when she got charged she went to a church to
seek help and sympathy there. It is the same with criminals here in norway that is arrested for some heavy drugrelated crimes. Suddenly they become christian??? Just like that...
If you americans has any drop of intelligence in your heads, you will see that the first verdict the jury gave was correct, but the second time they got confused because of mrs. Rohdes sons that testified heartfelt that they needed their mother and the mother needed them. Then the jury started to get sympathy with the kids and ruled in favor of mrs. Rohde.
To spend only 6 months in jail for having killed her husband is just the most shocking trial I've ever studied! If you Tracy Rohde reads this you will know that God saw what you did and you can lie your ass off to your friends and family and your church, but you CANNOT lie to God...
So I hereby plead you to go to the police once more and tell them 100% the truth or you will be judged harder by God later. Tell the truth to your friends, your family, your church and your society and THEN ask God and all the people around you for forgiveness. I cannot believe that you can live the rest of your life on a lie. Remember what the Bible says: "The truth will set you free!".

I want to know how they say she didn't do it because her fingerprints were not on the gun...if he shot himself how they heck were his finger prints not on it? I mean really? He shot himself and then wiped the gun down? They clearly stated she washed her hands in the sink and used a pillow to keep the blood spatter off. She never shed a tear out of all the crying she did! What a pitiful world we live in!

OK, she seems sincere but It doesn't make sense to me that she would go bouncing on another dude's love stick at the red roof inn just 10 days after her husband, who she loved so much, kills himself. One other thing....if he was going to divorce her then he was OK with the thought of not being with her anymore....so why would he kill himself over the thought of losing her.

No man is gonna take a pillow and put it over his head before he shoots himself. She was looking at loosing her kids, her home and everything she held dear. And she shot him, simply as that.

I believe she is telling the truth. I think it was a witch hunt. Her husband was a needy and desperate man. I am glad she is free.

I hope those jurors get what they deserve after this verdict.
I wonder do they speak English since most everyone looked Mexican on the show?
If you ever want to murder your spouse just move there, make like you are crying when no tears are coming out of your eyes, make like your voice is breaking, have kids that say they don't want you to go prison and wham you are free as a bird.
Thank you jurors, you deserve an award.
you sound very racist. Yes us Mexicans here in Brownsville speak English. By the way what a ghetto name you have

I just recently reviewed the case on 48 hours. Traci was interviewed and I believe she is lying. I believe she had a motive and that she had killed her husband. It was quite obvious during the interview that her tone of voice and fake expressions, that she was lying. She had high pitches in her voice (almost like a child) which indicates lying. Does anyone else notice this? She deserves to go to jail if she did this and I think the case should be re-opened. How can they let someone get away with murder?

I just watched the T.V. show detailing this case. Why didn't the defense make the case stronger against the holster-and-gun-on-the-floor theory? I'm not privy to police evidence; but looking at the photos, it seems like blood should have been on the holster - not just the gun - if it really made the pattern on the carpet. I don't think she had anything to do with this death. I hope she doesn't throw away her "miracle" sentence just to "clear her name". Her boys need her now and they will need her later. Good Luck, Tracy.
24 years I am Police Officer. This comment is spot on. I have no doubt that the accused in this case is beyond innocent. I have no doubt that the prosecution twisted facts and circumstances to make it appear as though this innocent woman murdered her husband. And if the casual observer, as noted above, picks up on problems with the evidence as the trained observer does, how bad do you think the miscarriage of justice is in this case. And for you to idiots who gave the person listed above two thumbs down you are idiots. Plain and simple. I hope the prosecutor Burns is fat Cletus ass in hell. And if anyone has a problem with it come get some.

Why would she kill
Her husband ? Perhaps they were having affairs. Many men and women have killed when affairs are discovered.

If anyone thinks they "know" that for certain she's guilty or innocent, after watching a one hour 48 hours made for TV special, you are pretty gullible. You may actually fit the typical audience they are targeting. Do you ever wonder why they leave out obvious questions your average idiot would ask? It's all for entertainment, but most just get sucked into the fictional drama, music, and mystery they create.
