A recent incident at Haywood High School involving my child has highly disturbed me. In short, if your child attends the high school, and is a victim of another child coming up to them and taking their belongings away from them, you are wasting your time trying to get something done about it. You pretty much have to just say "OH WELL". That is what we have had to learn the hard way. So, tell your child to watch everything he does while in school, you never know when it might happen to them. And it will not be fun! Just a lot of frustration. No help at all!!!

I agree - I have had two friends who has chidren at that school and things stolen from them- when reported to the office, was told would deal with it the next day- WELL lets give the thief time to get rid of the evidence - both cases were dismissed for lack of evidence- unfortunatly the security cameras did not pick up the area where the incident occured. What ARE we teaching our children ?

I KNOW WHAT IT TAUGHT MY CHILD!!
Try to tell them justice will be served,
and then have to tell them, Oh, Sorry,
thats just not the way it is.
If my child had tried taking it back,it would
have probably have led to a fight, then suspension,
just to keep their own belongings. I guess that is what they have to do in order to take care of theirselves now!!

I agree with you both. I had to deal with the prior admin. and discovered that they were just stupid. Had to put up with Dorothy Bond at Sunny Hill and the Jr. High. Couldn't do it four more years. Don't teach you kids to defend themselves either, they will get suspended. Tell the school and they tell the kids not to be tattle tails. What are you going to do? Haywood County has the worst school system there is.

I was a student there and because I was a sophomore I wasn't supposed to park on the front few rows in the school parking lot out of senior respect so the seniors bullied me and a guy who was way bigger than me called me a cow and mooed at me while I walked the halls and his friends stole parts of my car and that prior year someone was stabbed in the parking lot so I asked for video footage to see if I could catch them on video...of course not because cameras were still not installed over a year later and it became this big ordeal involving 12 seniors and me and they dismissed it because they wanted those seniors to walk at graduation just because they didn't want to handle it. I got into trouble for telling the principal how stupid he was and I transferred to Crockett my junior year. My kids will ONLY attend Crockett County School Systems

on February the 9, principal Ms. Dorthy Bond at Haywood high school, Brownsville TN. Speakes her mind in the morning, while calling all juniors and senors, for a meeting, the unexpected happened. As she started to speak she started to mention how the students need to learn how to respect teachers, and school property. But the next thing that she said shocked us all, in her exact words she said that homosexuality would not be tolerated and that all gay people are going to hell, and that they will be punished, ether by suspension or 60 day expulsion, And that its not allowed at haywood highschool. This upset many students gay and straight alike and also some teachers

I hope this has been reported and everyone has prove of all this. Cannot afford any mess ups.
