"The U.N. cease-fire resolution called for the force to keep the peace and disarm Hezbollah fighters south of the Litani River. However, the Lebanese government adopted a mandate Wednesday that requires confiscation of Hezbollah arms only if carried in public. It said nothing about the network of Hezbollah rocket bunkers across the 18-mile stretch between the river and the Israeli border."

It's hard to imagine Israel's reaction to that announcement.

After reading that at least 845 Lebanese were killed: 743 civilians, 34 soldiers and 68 Hezbollah; I could not help but wonder, just how effective were the Israeli air strikes?

Just a thought here: How does one know if a person
is a civilian and not a soldier with so many
soldiers not wearing uniforms at all?

I'd suggest that the claim of just 68 Hezbollah
dead is a strictly a propaganda number not to be
believed. They will not allow the Hezbollah
number to be higher than the Israeli losses, nor
will they provide accurate numbers of civilians
(real civilians) as the higher the number they
can get you to accept, the more they can play
the "victim."

All the more reason that America should shut down our borders and return all our armed forces here to let these people wallow in their own filth.

To typical U.S.citizen; Israeli air strikes seem efective at killing civilians and destroying bridges, roads and buildings ect.(With the help of U.S. weapons)

Very interesting article:

WARFARE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Old Feud Over Lebanese River Takes New Turn

Israel's airstrikes on canals renew enduring suspicions that it covets water from the Litani.

The Jewish state denies having any such designs.

Wouldn't it be nice if this was all a war arrange by Lebanon and Israel,.....leboneese soldiers not strong enough to subdue Hezbollah...so they coordinated with israel do their dirty deed and get back some form of control over their country.......I dream and dream.......now only waiting for a loud bang to wake me out of that "too good to be true" senario.
