Wow! They have come a long way. When I was in school, the band was horrible. They couldn't even make it to regional! Congrats to them this year!

I was an 8th grade clarinet player when he came to EC. I then continued to join the band through my jr. year. He was a wonderful person and showed a lot of heart when it came to helping us in competitions. The only problem was the other band members did not show any heart. I got tired of trying and not getting anywhere. I guess now they do work as a group. Good for them!!

I am in the 2009 field show. I think it will be a really great year. And we WILL be going to state this yr. We have 20something 8th graders that are working their butts off on the sheet music and memorizing the steps. Trust me, I know. I'm one of them! CAN'T WAIT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 16! YEA BAND!

I am so proud of all of the band members. They have worked so hard all year. We started the season with 31 rookies. They have came so far since that first day of band camp. Mr. West has done a wonderful job with the band since day one that he started at ECHS. They have overcome some seemingly insurmountable obstacles to get this far. I am so happy that all his and the band's hard work is finally paying off. Good Luck on Saturday! YEAH BAND!

I'm very proud of them. My son is a senior and is so glad they made it to state again this year. They definitely work their butts off to get where they are. So here is to the band, and wishing them lots of luck Sat.! Wish the whole school would show this kind of support for them!

Truthfully, at the beginning of the season, I thought it would take an act of God to get us to state, with so many rookies and such. What made it worse for me was the fact that it was my senior year.
But, I was proven wrong, and I'm glad of it. The only thing that would make it even better would be if we caused a huge upset and went to finals.

Let's keep hoping, never know what could happen, maybe yours & Matts senior year will be the year that you all do go to finals.

next year will probably be rough for our group. we are losing 9 seniors. plus there may be a couple others leaving us. thats a big chunk when we only have 36 kids this year. but hopefully we will get a lot of new kids in and have great luck with them like you guys did. i was amazed when i found out how many rookies you have. once again best of luck at state.

Thank you. Its definitely been tough with all the rookies, but I must say, we've done well. Like I said before, better than I thought we would do.
I'm hoping we make finals. Its a long shot, by all means, but it could definitely happen.
*Fingers crossed*

Hey guys, just always remember you may not make it to the finals, but you beat out alot of other bands who didn't make it as far as you all did. So everyone keep your chins up and kick butt Sat. We are all cheering you on.

Hey Mandy, I'm pretty sure none of the returning marchers thought we would get as far as we did. Now, without the talent of some of our seniors next year, it will be rough. Or... thats what I think.

If the band works really hard next year, it won't be rough. Everyone in the band this year, despite what I may have said when I was aggravated about one thing or another, has talent. Some definitely have more than others, but that shouldn't hold anyone back. As long as you keep a positive attitude and work hard, you can, as bad as I hate to admit it, make it without the seniors.

Mandy, haha. I don't think we can make it without the seniors. Unless the seniors fail, then we won't be without yall. The clarinets are going to be all sophomores, a freshman sax, sophomore trumpets, no tenor more than likely, new baritones, Mandy, can you stay back? Please? lol. Despite if we all have talent, it's gonna be really hard next year.
