I have heard recently that Midway Church had some church members bring theie grandchildren, that were bi-racial, and were asked to leave because they did not want "Blacks " in their church. If this is true, shame on you Midway, and none of your members better not go to Heaven, because I expect to see a lot of My black friends there.I will be praying for you so you may see the light of God and it will soften your Hard Heart!

I don't believe that at all. I know several members at that church, and they welcome everyone with open arms, reguardless of color, or race.

Sorry to disappoint you, but they do not welcome just anyone!! It's a shame how some of the members have been treated by others in the church. The church and it's members needs prayers. It's taking me a lot of prayer to try to over how they have treated a family member on mine.

Shouldn't he be divinely inspired and know the thoughts of people in church? They seem to like to call everyone else out like they know what's going on in their lives.:-) It's hard to focus and create an environment of love when all you do is tell people how much of sinners they are. Let's refocus the sermons toward love and maybe love will be the byproduct.:-)

Amen! Maybe a new Pastor is what is needed.

What goes on with someone else is not my business. I hate it for those involved. I have not talked to him about how I feel because the time has never been right. I know that I will get my chance to say something, but if I do it on my time and not God's time it will be a disaster. I do not ever want to say something that I will regret in the future.

So, what you are saying is that just because I may not be fully white that I'm now allowed there?

If I'm not allowed in their church because I'm not 100% one color...then do they think only white people will be in heaven?

I'm sure it's not the "church". It's the few bad apples in the bunch that make the others look bad. Perhaps, they need to throw the apples out of the church until they are pure enough to enter. A note to the hypocrites: Church is not a place to repent your sins. Church is a place to strenthen the love that each individual brings there. Work on your issues in your silence, then come together to build on the love you find.

The problem is that the "bad apples" are the leaders of the church.

Insensitive ***hole. I'm sure it isn't that bad to you, because you are probably one of the white supremist who condone the behavior that is apparently going on at the church.

Ive heard it compared to a cult. Also, there are some members who practice double standard christianity.
Wouldn't that qualify them as hipocrits?

White supremist? Really we are going there. Take a look around the county and understand that we have a lot of great people who have not been exposed to very many minorities. It is the way it is. All you can do is treat them with the respect that you wish to be treated with and hope that they look at your ways and change for the better.

Getting on here and talking a church down really hurts the church and makes you look pretty sorry as well. If you don't like them, go somewhere else. This is a free country and all.

Please reread my response :-) I was putting down the individual, not the church. The original post mentioned that certain members in the church were causing problems; however, since this person who claims to be a church going person seems to not have an issue with it "being that bad" it only means that they accept the behavior that is apparently causing problems in the church. Please, since you seem educated, don't put words in my mouth. Thank you. P.S. I'm an non-racist, white member of Edmonson County.

It not only happened at Midway, the same thing happened at Sweeden, same pastor. The one at Midway was a family member of mine and the one at Sweeden was a very dear friend, but I attended Midway as a child and I can tell you for a fact that if you are not in the "clique" you are treated as if you are not there and it is not the pastor alone, it is the members and especially one DEACON.

The same thing happened at Steep Hallow Church when my mother was a member too. Sad sad people. There are prisoners in their own minds.
