As a recovered victim of molestation at an early age, I rejoice that we are now able to access the state sites and research who is residing in any given community. Of course, those sites are not fool proof. They do not include those who pleaded down to a charge that does not put you on the site. That happens all to often. My only concern is that we do not project concern over the acts of a few onto entire communities.
While I am English, as opposed to an Amish or Mennonite, I lived amoung them for approx ten years. The many people I came into contact with were loving protective parents, honest business people and fine neighbors.
I never heard anyone discuss using human waste on their crops. Crop discussion took place, ad nauseum. They depended on crop rotation and hog and cow manure to care for the crops and there was an abundance of that available.
I miss being able to drive down the road to the local produce station and purchase fruits and vegetables, in season, and not worry about geneticly altered products.

What's this about Amish people and child molestation? I don't think their religion causes them to molest children any more than anyone else.
I can say that they are probably sexually deprived though. The women stay covered up and people are supposed to be virgins until marriage. I'm sure there's a lot of sexual frustration with the younger men and women. Especially since they get out into our world and see lots of skin being shown by attractive women. I'm wondering if it bothers the young teen Amish girls when they see how pretty they are and they can't wear clothing that enhances their natural beauty.
I don't see how this has anything to do with an Amish herbal doctor.

The manner of dress that we perceive as being pathologicly modest comes from the belief that the husband is the only one who needs to be gazing upon her body. I used to get a bit of a chuckle when the younger mothers would come in for prenatal check ups. The girlie items were the same that my daughters wore............HOT

Good news wrote: <quoted text> I also heard that Reuben wants to retire and is teaching another young man to do this. Sometimes when I go down, he has this other person in there seeing people as well. Reuben told me about my childhood, how I felt about my parents and that I have some emotional issue to work on. He was 100% right. He told me about my heart trouble before the regular doctors did. His herbs and medications he uses are great. I am so glad I saw him and would recommend him to everyone. In this day and time with the way regular doctors are handing out pills like candy, we need to question if we shouldn't be going back to the way God intended us to heal ourself. the other guy is not only checking your iris but he does a ph test with your saliva and or urine

As a young victim of molestation at the hands of a neighbor, I can say that one never totally gets over that sort of thing. With this in mind, I believe that ANY convicted perp. needs to be locked up for the maximum amount of time. This needs to be done, regardless of religious background. Have a wonderful weekend.
