Listen you stupid sonofabicth, I was born in Floyd County KY and have lived 16 years in east TN! The trash in KY who are on the draw are the same lowlife families who have done it and trained their off spring to do it since it started! I would bet the same goes for WV and TN! There are good decent hardworking families in all three! Lucky for me I came from one of those families, and am damn proud of it! I get sick of the poor pitiful Appalachia stories which just aren’t true! The same trash are always there to tell their sad stories to the news reporters, who always fall for the bullshit! Before Lyndon B Johnson’s ‘war on poverty’ those lazy bastards either worked or starved, I don’t recall any of them starving to death! I don’t remember any of them working since 1964 however! Take your sad story to jerry springer!
Right TPR, I grew in Floyd Co too. Martin to be exact. Our parents grew Gardens and canned food and killed hogs, raised chickens that we got our own eggs from. Sometimes we got some cheese commodities {may not be spelled right} But we managed to survive. People have forgot how to do that.If they had to do that now, they would be out looting and robbing other's for food.

Hey AYK, you asked this question a ways back. This came in and I thought you might like to read it.

Anti-Obama film blows out box office

'The largest one-week expansion in independent film history'
Published: 2 days ago

A first-run film that casts new light on Barack Obama’s radical roots already is setting box-office records while an upcoming release that could also unsettle the White House is expected to draw a strong audience.

On the eve of the Republican National Convention,“2016: Obama’s America” is scheduled for showing in 1,074 theaters, approximately one of every four theaters in the U.S., said Jason Jones, president of Movie to Movement, the non-profit organization promoting the film.

He noted that 35 percent of all tickets sold Thursday on Fandango.com , the No. 1 online movie ticket sales company, were for “2016.”

I'm with you on that Syl,I hated breakin' beans and choppin' cabbage.
But loved goin' to Granny's cellar for anything you could think of that could be canned. The blackberries for dumplings out of this world.
We also raised chickens and slaughtered two hogs for winter.
My granny tried to show me how to ring a chickens neck, but I was too small in the 60's lol. wasn't too small to eat it though!
My Pap and I ran trot-lines and he was 80 years old..those catfish were
delicious.Don't think I would eat anything from the Cumberland river now..unless I was real hungry!
And there were no weed-eaters..check that I was the weed-eater.
My Dad would sharpen the hand sickles lay them on the porch...come in my room before he went to work...jerk off the cover and say don't won't one weed standing when I get home this evening!
No problem...Dad!
But you know what? I WOULD LOVE THOSE TIMES AGAIN!

Me too,TOFY!My Dad would get my brother and me up and say the push mower is out waiting for you.My brother would tie a rope to the front and he would push from the rear and we cut our large yard, that way.Still remember when my Dad and his parents killed a hog out back and put him in the hot water to remove hair.Gran-dad had a shelf with boxed sections where he salted the hams kept in a back shed.Mom had chickens and I learned to cut off the heads with the hatchet and over a large block of wood.Grand-mon could wring the head off but I never learned that trick. Were they the best of days?or,is it that they just seem that way because we had none of this political mish-mash of today?

Forgive me Lord ...:)

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever.

Amen †

'Mon Amie La Rose'

We are truly insignificant
And that's what my friend the rose
Told me this morning

I was born at dawn
Baptised in dew
I blossomed
In the rays of the sun
Happy and in love
I closed my petals at night
And when I awoke I was old.
Yet I had been beautiful
Yes, I was the most beautiful
Of all the flowers in your garden

See, the God that made me
Now makes me bow my head
And I feel I'm falling
And I feel I'm falling
My heart is almost bare
I have a foot in my grave
Already I am nothing
You admired me only yesterday
And I shall be dust
Forever, tomorrow

We are truly insignificant
And my friend the rose
Died this morning

Last night the moon
Kept vigil over my friend
And in a dream I saw
Her soul, dancing
Dazzling and naked,
Above the heavens,
Smiling on me.
Let those who can, believe
But I need Hope
Or else I am nothing ~~~

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Pisces

You're raring to go today, especially on domestic projects. You'll achieve a tremendous amount if you're allowed to proceed at your own pace and in your own time, but you'll soon get ratty if you suspect someone is breathing down your neck or trying to tell you what to do. You'll also feel irritated with people you know really well, so be prepared for a few fireworks.
