Its sad that surrounding county fairs have 2 to 3 times the amount of rides and carnival type attractions than our fair does.

What's sad is that they charge 5.00 a person to get in and another 8.00 to ride the 4 rides that they do have. They need to change somethings are people will stop going

the other county fairs have more attendance and that means more moeny for the carnivals too i've worked in the carnivals and most of the bigger ones have already moved south this timeof year too.

that's fine but if its the same crap next year my kids will not be going... They got people from he county that can not even read putting the rides together and operating them. What would happen if an emergency happen and they had to read the policy they couldn't...... So Come On Lions club act.... do something..WE paid you plenty....

And another thing what does the lions club do for people anyway?

We were there the night of the mud run, and one of the kiddie rides fell apart while it was running. It was the one with the elephants on it. They had two of the maybe six elephants to just fall off the track. WTH? One of them fell off right in front of the one my kids were on. Luckily no one was in it. They guy just smiled & said that was the 2nd one that night. Last year my kids were on the sizzler & the bar came flying open while it was spinning around. The guy just laughed & wouldn't stop it till my husband threatened him. Not only do they have old crappy dangerous rides but a bunch of idiots running them. Will never take my kids back there again.

I think next year I will just take my kids to the Grayson County Fair. It seems the people at the EC fair are just as trashy at the rides.

I was shocked at the condition of the rides at the 2011 Fair. Why are we bringing in such a run down midway? I don't plan on my children attending the fair next year if it is the same or worse company.

It's the dates of the fair. All of the good midway companies have already left Kentucky at this time. Plus this is a very small fair and the larger, nicer midway companies cannot make enough money here to break even. However, if the fair was in June or July they could probably get something better.
