My condolences to the family of the young girl killed in this tragic accident. May God be with you in your time of sorrow.

Also, to you other residents of Seymour, please help us pray for my nephew, Tanner Payton, who was seriously injured.

Any news on the cause of this accident? I hate to think bad of these kids but what were they doing out at 6:00am on a Sunday morning? The driver must be beside himself with guilt and grief. This is such a sad situation.

The kid was just buried today, one's still in the hospital in an induced coma, there's not need for you to start pointing fingers at this point news.

You have my deepest sympathy. I'm so sorry you're suffering like this. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child.
I'm praying that God will ease your pain, and give you some peace.

I have to wonder of these boys will ever experience a true understanding of the pain they have caused. Will they ever fully know the value of Danika's life? Or, are they so arrogant they believe they too are victims? Will they continue to live a life of bad choices? Or will they honor Danika's life by living theirs in a way that honors her and the lessons they have learned. Every student that knew this girl should see this night as a cautionary tale. One small bad decision can spiral beyond control into something that will leave heart break, chaos, and likely a good dose of karma in return. The allure of alcohol, drugs, parties and friends may seem all to inviting....but, the price is too high. Lives can be lost...it CAN happen to you! Kids are so arrogant to believe this wont happen to them.

whoa whoa whoa??? do you hear yourself??? ok for one, one of the boys was also a passenger so how in anyway is he to blame?? and for 2 the report read that there was no alcohol and that the car didnt even register over 55mph so more then likely it wasnt a case of speed and if so probably not a high rate of speed, it was an accident. That poor girl lost her life and those boys especially the driver WILL NEVER be the same because of that. Do you have any idea on the psychological toll something like that has on a person??? especially a teenager!? when i was 18 i was driving my friend to go pick up his gf from work, it was storming and we hit a puddle and hydroplanned down a bank and flipped, my friend died! an investigation was done, i was not traveling over the speed limit, i had not been drinking, nor have i even to this day EVER done drugs..it was an accident, and even though i know it was an accident it still doesnt change the fact that my friend is gone! and i carry that with me every day now for the last 9 years! stop posting things like this about children that honestly deserve support during this time instead of being publically crucified on the internet by someone who just sees it as "kids being kids"

Speed indeed was a huge factor in this accident. While the passenger in the vechile has gone into college and learned a valuable lesson the driver since has been arrested twice for different things. So as previous per the previous post it wasn't far from the truth and as much as it pains me to say this it was kids being kids. To this very day I miss my baby sister and often wonder to myself who she would of become. Fly High my girl we miss and love you Danikka
