Super Bowl ambassadors proud of the role played

Most Hoosiers are ecstatic about the City of Indianapolis being chosen to host the 2012 Super Bowl, but few are happier than the 32 eighth-graders who hand delivered Indianapolis' bid earlier this month.

Ah, too bad you didn't pass 8th grade skunk. Still, that's no reason to be jealous of those who are in school. A GED is a wonderful thing, maybe you can get off of here, get online and earn a diploma!

Newspapers say a lot of nothing. I'd say most hoosiers don't give a damn about no stink'in super bowl. Brainwashed eighth graders. Those who announced this pathetic event are the only ones cheering about it because they will be the ones making any money off it. So miatch, you dropped out after eighth grade. I'd say its more politics and spotlight. If this was an annual,semi-annual event, all the hype might be worth it. Hey miatch, ever hear of economics? Okay, trickle down economics? Didn't think so. Guess you didn't do enough grades to take the class, miatch.

what the hell are you even saying skunk? This is a great thing for the city, if even for the exposure. We are a convention city, so publicity is a great thing.

and I hope you realize that while the Colts have a lot of say with the stadium, they only use it 10-12 times a year. The rest of the time its used for high school games, NCAA games, conventions, band competitions, etc.

And all the use by others than the colts is free to those competitions? Me thinks the stadium belongs to the people that are paying for it not the clots,I mean colts. That stadium belongs to the taxpayers and is managed by whom? I'll guess the city. OOOOH OUCH! Until irsay and the clots buy out the taxpaying public its our elephant. Gonna take a long time to pay off a billion dollars plus. I appreciate your candor on the subject but the debt of this stadium is going to go on for many years to come just like the last one thats being demolished making room for what next. Attempting to make indy another chicago is futile. Of course there is money to be made here but after looking at my property tax and increased taxation across the board I see no windfall profits in my pocket. Maybe its those developers, politicians, investo rs,seeing all that windfall action. Correct me if I'm wrong or not quite right.

yeah, taxes go up.. thats the nature of life. You could completely avoid paying $.01 for this stadium. It was funded through an increase in sales tax at resteraunts, hotels, and car rentals. Dont do any of those and you dont pay anything.

The RCA dome could have been paid off had the government not taken some of that money that was planned for the dome and used it for other things.

I honestly dont see why its such a big deal to people. Everytime you went out to eat and spent $100, only $1 went to the stadium. It was a 1% tax increase. deal with it.

I don't see any hoosier hysteria about this super bowl stuff. Most are probably indifferent to this monumental occasion in 2012. As the date draws nearer and the media runs with it, it will be 3rd only to the jap bombing of pearl harbor to the invasion of europe by allied forces. Hip..Hip..Hooray for the 32 brainwashed eighth graders that made it all happen for the wealthy. Amazing how low the wealthy will stoop to get what matters most to them. Cha ching, money.

You watching the Olympics this summer Skunk?

Did you watch the Super Bowl when the Colts were in it, or a repeat of "Matlock?"

Have you ever attended a pro sporting event?

A College football or basketball game?
