If you can find the video with Andrew Niederberger compare the audio on both videos and see if you think they're the same person.

KGO: Vacaville Newspaper Bomb May Have Been Planted by Angry Neighbor
By Shoshana Walter|March 29, 2011 5:59 p.m.|In Crime
KGO logo squareKGO Radio said Tuesday it may have found the perp responsible for the explosion Sunday morning that sent an 85-year-old Vacaville man to the hospital with serious injuries.
The victim, Jose Sanchez-Zarco, was injured Sunday morning when he picked up a green plastic bag containing a newspaper-wrapped bomb that was sitting in between his and a neighbor’s home on Cashel Circle.
According to KGO’s Scott Lettieri, a very disgruntled Vacaville man had called into Len Tillem’s show about a week ago to complain about an elderly neighbor who kept stealing his paper. The radio station has provided police with the tape.
“I said,'look, I’ve got a picture of you right here leaning over and grabbing my paper in my driveway. What’s your problem?'” The man said during Tillem's show, asking the host whether he had any legal recourse after the theft.“I’m thinking about barfing in a piece of paper and folding it up and letting him grab it.”
“No, that’s a little extreme,” Tillem replied.
The station's revelation casts a sinister shadow over other interviews about the incident. In an article by The Reporter's Catherine Bowen, a relative indicates Sanchez-Zerco may have been reaching for someone else’s paper.
"His newspaper was on his coffee table, so either [the bomb] wasn't necessarily his newspaper, but it was a newspaper there or it could have been a package,” she says.
In the same article, neighbor Andrew Niederberger tells Bowen he thinks the placement of the newspaper near his yard was “random.”
"I don't have any enemies, I don't hate anybody, I'm just a normal guy," he said. "By being placed where it was, in the middle of the two yards, it pretty much told them that it was random. If they really were pinpointing me, it would have been up here, or on my doorstep, or right in front where I'm going to pick it up and not someone else.”
According to the Bay City News Service, police evacuated more than 40 homes near a cul-de-sac on the street. Police have not identified any suspects, nor made any arrests, according to KGO.

Apparently this has been ruled out as having relevance to this bombing.

I read that, but I don't really believe it. Too coincidental in my opinion. Too many inconsistencies and holes regarding this whole incident. When it happened, VV police were overheard saying 5 bombs were found. The police now say those were rumors and there was only one bomb. How do we know the police aren't just saying there was only one to keep their investigation together? Also, their not going to admit to the media that the neighbor is being looked at.It just seems weird that a VV man called the radio complaining about his elderly neighbor stealing his paper, then a week later an elderly VV man is stealing a paper and has adverse consequences. Remember, this is the same PD that knows all the details of an unsolved murder from the 80s, yet it's still not solved. This is also the same PD whose officer drove drunk and slammed into 5 cars. They tell us what they want us to know.

Thanks for the info, Gem. Unfortunately I can't find anything to compare the voices (although I'll be honest, I didn't invest too much time searching).:)

All so true, and that is just to name a few of the mishandling of evidence by VV PD. Do you remember May 2010 when two very young guys were arrested in a park in VV after blowing off their fingers with a home made pipe bomb?
I think one of their names was Bryan Cook 18 at the time and his punk accomplice 17, I am just wondering if these two are again out and about and up to old tricks?

LMAO I had a hard time last night as well finding a news report with the sketchy neighbor. If I find it later today I'll post it for comparison.

I don't remember it, but I did read something you posted yesterday where you mentioned those names. I checked prisons in California and there wasn't a Bryan Cook listed, so he may be out and back to his old ways.

That would be great, thanks.

Channel 31 showed a clip of them interviewing Andrew (the neighbor). I briefly skimmed their site to see if there was posted video footage, but to no avail.

Haven't heard much about this case for awhile. When are they going to make an arrest, I wonder?
Good question Rand. Speculation at the time was that the FBI was involved so we should expect to see more progress than with our local police farce.

Maybe after Gem checks in she'll do some research, she seems to enjoy that court type stuff.
