Former mayor Ganim moved to Pa. prison

Federal officials have transferred former Bridgeport Mayor Joseph Ganim to a prison camp in Pennsylvania as he continues serving his nine-year sentence for corruption.

The person responsible for putting Ganim in jail sits pretty in Waterbury working for economic growth.
I agree with WHT TRASH, Ganim took Bridgeport from the armpit it was and made it a place for people to be proud of.

I am so glad to hear that they moved Joe to a prison camp in Pennsylvania, I heard that the Amish prisoners like little grease balls like Joe Ganim.

Say what you want of his practices, Ganim is only guilty of running politics like it was still the 1950's or 60's when everyone dealt politics that way...

I grew up in Bridgeport, and experienced first hand the transformation from bankrupt, murder capital of the US, to what it is now with converted loft spaces, and condos by seaside park... the new baseball stadium and concert venue, the cleaned up downtown... He started that transition.

He may not have been all good, but he was definitely not all bad. I grew up in one of those neighborhoods that was transformed, and as long as no one was hurt... I honestly don't care how he did it.
