What the hell is going on out there?Im from Pemberton Twp and Im ashamed lol. Are these kids trying to turn it into a mini "hood"?? Pemberton is but so big.Cant they put a stop to all this foolishness? These kids dont know what theyre getting into.Or maybe they do and dont care? They want to be the next scarface. They think its cool to sell drugs and go to jail.To get shot or shot at.Gangs are cool?I wish they would come to north jersey where Im at and see what its REALLY like.Deal with the real Bloods and Crips and Latin Kings.I know some personally and their stories arent fairy tales. Some are not even here to tell their stories. These people need to grow up and stop trying to be "down". Go to school and make something of themselves.

When these kids get to jail they will find out just what they signed up for joining these gangs. It's a damn shame.

If your from Pemberton you must of left a while ago. The area is getting very bad. I myself have lived there all my life growing up living the same lifestyle. I realized what i was doing to myself and got out.I joined the Marines to better myself. But you saying their not real??? How much realier do you need it people are dying out there constantly. Two recently were good friends of mine. If you pay attention most of these bloods moving in are from north Jersey. You think North Jersey was as bad as it was from the beging? no it all has to start somewhere and now its movin into south jersey. Alot of these kids are growing up seeing this stuff going on everyday and it starts to become a way of life for them. You talk about going to school, most of them do and thats where they are influenced most. For you to talk like this is some game to them is just wrong, this is a way of life to them now and its only gonna get worst. This is alot deeper than you know.

Yes, this is very deep,I strongly agree! I've lived in Pemberton for many years and did nothing positive the whole time until I moved away. I have a son and the one thing I dont want is for him to be involved in a gang. These kids are bored and have nothing better to do but sell drugs, have sex with everyone, and fight/kill nowadays. Pemberton needs something recreational for these kids, a skating rink, bowling alley, somethng damn!!

Although you all may be right, that the town Pemberton has an extremely bad rap, its not the town that makes it bad. Its how these kids are raised. It happens to be my cousin who was killed. I know you hear time and time again when a person passes about how great and kind they were. But I promise you, Anthony touch everybodys heart. He was raised with lots of love and respect from a very exceptionally strong mother and grandparents. Anthony believed in honest, family and showed nothing but love for the people around him. His death is a wake up call to all his friends who were their to see him lie in a casket. He did not belong their.....This shit has got to stop. Anthony would never have put himself in a situation that required getting shot to get out of. Pempberton is not the best place to raise your kids, but parents are what make a child exceptional, not the town.....Anthony was making alot of himself and was determined to be something his mother would be proud of.....And in the end, he needed to show nothing, because all along, Anthony was her pride and joy, she was already proud just to be his mother......Wake up people, we are the ones who are raising killers, not society with in itself. Parents need to stay involved with their children and who their friends are......I hope something positive comes out of a horrible death that my family has had to endure. If you could hear the crys of a grieving mother and 2 beautiful sisters lost with out their brother, you cant help but wonder why god would take such a child. It took me time to really think of this, Anthony was meant for bigger and better things in life, just not this life. God knew Anthonys time would be short lived hear, but long lived in heaven where I know he is doing some major changes.....Love you Anthony...please rest in peace and keep watch for your family really needs to know you are at peace.....MiMi

I TRULY AGREE WITH YOU ,YOU SEE I TOO WAS BORN AND RAISED HERE IN PEMB TWP,BROWN TOWN IS WHAT YOU MAKE ........YOU CAN MAKE OR BREAK IT,AND LATELY IT SEEMS THIS TOWN HAS GONE TO HELL,PARENTS CAN ONLY TEACH THERE CHILD SO MUCH,
I BELIEVE ANTHONY WAS RAISED PROPER AND HIS FAMILY WAS THERE FOR HIM,DIDNT KNOW HIM PERSONALLY BUT I TOO AM A PARENT RAISING CHILDREN HERE AND CANT EVEN IMAGINE THERE GRIEF.
SO TO YOU MIMI WE CAN ONLY GIVE IT TO GOD AND PRAY THAT ANTHONY WILL TRULY BE AT PEACE....YOU SEE GOD HAS ALWAYS HAS THE BETTER PLAN FOR ALL US ...AND YES HE WAS WAY TOO YOUNG BUT TAKE IT TO HEART KNOWING YOU WILL SEE HIM AGAIN SOON ENOUGH, AND TOO HIS FAMILY MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU ,

Im not saying it isnt real. obviously it is if people are getting killed.I moved out of there recently.Grew up there my whole life.I still go out there.I know its real. But most of these kids are doing it because they think its cool. They want to be down.I have some of these kids asking my friends questions about these gangs like its the new thing coming to town. Its not a game.It isnt a joke.Yes, I know some of these people are going to s jersey from the north.I know people personally. But theres also people I went to school with who are all of a sudden Bloods or whatever. I mean, come on! I know people who have been Bloods and Crips since 10 or 16yrs old.Its THEIR way of life. These people in Browns Mills/Pemberton-it is not their way of life. How many poor,street-raised people are there really in Pemberton? Not too many. I could see if this was something they grew up in and experienced their whole lives. Not the past 2 yrs.
It doesnt matter. The point is that the stuff is STUPID.People die over stupid stuff. And people need to get it together.
Yes,it is real...but most of it-wanna be gangstas!! lol
And as far as finding out?? Hun, please. I dont need to find out. I see it already. Ive experienced it already. Ive had a gun in my face and luckily SOMEONE was watching over me. And I hope He watches over you too

I talk to friends about the things going on in MY HOME. And they laugh. These are the real "gangstas". They laugh at this stuff.Matter of fact-they even make jokes about you.
But its not funny.I feel bad for all of them. I still love Pemberton.I didnt know anything outside of Pemberton until I turned 20.
But people are really messing it up.OK, Pemberton never really had much. Its boring and all...but its home to me.And these wanna-be gangstas are ruining it even more

I agree Anthony was one of the kindest kids I knew. He was younger than me was always pleasant and kind. He always stopped the fights to create peace. People shouldn't talk about what they don't know. He wasn't in any gang. He was a good kid that cared more about his family and friends than anything else. Why don't you offer condolences instead of offering your opinion. I agree with you Mimi, he will be missed greatly.

AGAIN - I know it is real. Obviously it is since so many people are getting killed out there. And it looks like every last person who posted on here are from and grew up in Pemberton. I only moved away last yr.And I go out there every weekend.Im not that far from home.I know exactly whats going on. Ive seen things first hand.Ive lost friends. Some have to do with these gangs. Some dont. Some are media bull....
Im not on here looking for answers. Not on here to judge people.Just giving opinions.
Its real...but STUPID.
Ive heard of more gang-related killings in Pemberton than in the area Im in now.And there are gangs on every corner...living nextdoor to me...down the street from me...and half this dumd stuff isnt even going on.

I moved from Browns Mills/Pemberton two years ago. I just found out about Anthony last night. He was the first person I met my freshman year. I can't believe what's going on these days. Albie and Anthony were distant friends and it's nuts to know my former classmates are dead because people don't value life anymore. I wept for both and still greiving. People don't understand that a gun is real. The lives you take are real. All for what? Drugs? Money? That shit really don't matter when it comes down to it. And this whole thing with Gabriel Edgehill? I was friends with his brother for Christ's sake! What happened to Pemberton? I would go around singin the Ptown song with pride. And now it's almost like I'm ashamed of my hometown. I live in Lindenwold, aka "Little Camden". There are shootings all the time. I know now, not to get involved with anyone and keep to myself. I don't want to spend my life weeping over people. People just need to stop killing everyone. Really what's the point?

Now that is really bad. Initiation? Makes you scared for everyone. My family is still there. My nieces and nephews. Babies! I mean, WTF?!? The police need to step their game up - big time. I remember when there were only like 2 cops on patrol at night...and they were always at WaWa. Now,they have the State boys. I hope they can put a stop to all of this. Pemberton is a speck on the map compared to big cities like NY and even Newark.
But then again...it isnt just Pemberton...Trenton too...Ugh! Ive always hated Trenton!
