It is hard to imagine why people are so negative about growth in small towns. You cannot expect to remain a little town forever. Walmart coming to Broussard is huge, as are the other chains to follow. Do people really think travelers on hwy 90 know there is a Walmart on Pinhook and really want to detour to it? Would You?

Yep, it's fine and well that Wal-Mart is opening it's doors soon, but , that means it's closing in my city! So, i now have to drive,uhhh, an extra 10 to 12 miles , out of my way, just to pick something up Wal-Mart. Still that's just dandy,because the prices are good. My point is, that i do understand what the counsilman is saying, to me Wal-Mart supercenter, with a gas station...should be given it's own zip code!
