To Stacked, sorry for the mis-understanding. How did the neighbors dog get into someone else's house? My doors are closed (and locked) at night, no dog gets in, no dog gets out! Don't usually dream too much, don't usually get much sleep, with a boxer AND a pit on the bed too! And to GSXR Chick, my boxer is extremely big, 28 1/2" tall and 94 lbs. You would be surprised at the people who say "Oh my god, that's the Biggest Pitbull I've ever seen!" Maybe because he is white with a brindle patch over one eye?

No worries! Sometimes I honestly do say random things for fun!
I guess the dog broke down the fence and came in through the dog door. Amazing no heard him! Breaking a fence is some noise.
There is a forum on Tpoix with a link if you are interested in more. The woman who's bed the dog wound up is a bit hysterical but I maybe would be too not sure as they solved the problem by locking the dog door!!!!=)

Anyways, Your dog might be bigger than me after a bout with the flu! Holy heck! If I met your dog and it wanted to play fetch, I would never stop....=)

Most people have no idea what a pit looks like....they confuse them with so many breeds, that's why I never believe the media unless I see a pic, even then, sometimes they are a little hard to pick out from the Amstaffs...WHOA! that's a huge boxer, mine is about 75 lbs, not sure of his height tho (I thought mine was a big guy), you would think at that size people would mistake him for an American Bulldog being white and a brindle patch....I guess I am getting a female boxer this week sometime :) she's about 10 weeks....my pit mix isn't going to be too happy, that old fart :)

I actually thought he would have passed a few years ago...then when my man and I moved in together he got a new lease on life, he tries so hard to play with the boxer, sometimes it's so sad....well now at least the pup will be his size :)

Wow, I can't believe you said that (about the American Bulldog). I really am not convinced he is a Boxer. I got him from some pretty shady people when he was just 8 wks old. His papers say Boxer. I emailed 3 photos of him to 3 American Bulldog breeders and to 3 Boxer breeders, and 5 of them have emailed me back and all 5 said I have an American Bulldog, or at least a Boxer-Bulldog mix. I am thinking about checking into the dna testing they do on dogs now (what's in the mix), have you heard of that? I really don't care WHAT he is, I love him to bits, but I'd really like to know, for temperment reasons and more important, health reasons. I know all Boxers love kids, except mine, what do you think? Even my vet thinks he is mixed.

I just looked up the standards for boxers again and the height is 23-25 inches, for an Am Bulldog it's 20-28 inches, 75-125 lbs....and thinking about it, I haven't seen any boxers that are white with the brindle eye patch, that's big with the am bulldogs...or he could be just a really big boxer, if it were me, I wouldn't do the DNA, you do it if you really want to know...Wikipedia says they are great with kids also...I don't have any experience with them so I can't say yay or nay, they sound like they are a lot like boxers, stubborn :)

He is 2 yrs 5 mos. He lives with my hubby and me, our other dog, 2 cats and a parrott. My kids are grown and gone, I have 6 grandkids, ages 2 yrs to 13 yrs. He has been with these kids one day per week (all day Sat. or Sun. sense I've had him. some times the kids come here for the week-end. He likes the older ones, ages 8, 10 & 13, just the 2 & 4 yr old he doesn't want to be around. And yes, they have been taught how to behave around dogs (my daughter has 3 dogs). When the younger ones are around, he sticks to me like glue, almost like he's afraid of them.

WHOA! You have a house full of animals! I would too, if my dogs wouldn't try to eat the kitties, and if my husband weren't allergic to cats!

Maybe he is one of those dogs that is aware of his size and knows he might unintentionally hurt the little ones? My boxer likes the older kids also, I think because he can be more rambunctious around them...we have to tell him to be gentle around little ones.

I own a Pitt,a Rottweiler, and a German Shepherd. They are all 1 year apart. They get along with all dogs at the park. It's not the dogs. It's the fing owners. They should take the doberman and put him with a good home. Shoot the owner. Fing Punk. Please don't let me every meet your dumb mf ass.
