I'm not expecting break-through detective work from those cops. He either rolled the car in neutral down a slope (I did that as a kid) or the car was already running. Maybe it really was Drunk Uncle Robert that hit the transformer, but they blamed it on the kid.

I can see my 6yo attempting this. I just can't see him getting the car out of park. I do find it adorable that he put his carseat in the driver's seat. Safety first! LOL

I want to know what was so good at Applebees that he was willing to drive there on his own to get.

Have I overlooked something on their menu?

Applebee's? Really. Someone should teach this kid better, like Hooter's.

I think this young child must of been awfully hungry to be that motivated into doing something so drastic to get food! Yeah, its true, he is young and probly did not comprehend how dangerous the situation could of become, and yeah, as the close by resident said you don't always see everything your child does, but it must of took him a good minute to find the car keys, to fix his car seat, and to operate a motorized vehicle.where was grandma?

This story may sound cute, but there is a real problem here. Why was the kid so hungry that he took the car keys? As an adult, the grandmother should have not left her keys in a place the kid could get to. And Nancy Hollis would be singing a different tune if one of her 5 kids (she can't watch every minute) was run over by this 6 year old.

This is a serious issue and shouldn't be joked about.

The dessert, you really need to try the chocolate brownie with some vanilla ice cream, OMG

I just want to know how he was going to get a table or pay for the meal, while you people are stuck on wanting to know how he got the car out of park...think outside the box will ya....

Mama spent welfare check on a fake LV bag, instead of food and a razor for her legs. Mama chose to walk around with a 3 sizes too small tee and glittering letters with the word DIVA, talking on her cell phone.
Kid was hungry, saw a commercial from Applebee's on TV and said: that's what I want... don't blame the child.

You obviously don't know that Denver sits on a high plain easy of the Rockies. The land is mostly flat with vrey few slopes. More likey, the engine races when the engine is turned on and the transmission is loose enough to allow the kid to shift into reverse without holding the brake down.

Need to keep in mind where this happened - Colorado NOT South Florida. People in other parts of the nation actually do dress appropriately instead of from hooker/trash/slut line of the mall. Kid probably was just too spoiled and indulged to eat what was at home and wanted what he wanted when he wanted it. Barbarians.
