Please re read the DA letter NO shots were fired until after the door was forced open by police. There seems to be a lot more inconsistancys in your reporting too. I would love to know how a professional negoshitor can take less than 5 minutes for gunfire to break out.Is there a protocol? was the time line a question for anyone else? 8 minutes? How many cops were present and did they all give statements? why are the statements all different? what happened to the other police officers that were presants statements? were they different too?If there were 7 bullits in the clip an he shot her 4 times and at the police 2x why were there still 4 bullits in a gun that only holds 7.

Lisa - please re re read the DA letter. The police heard Leigh say “put it down”,“don’t cut me”,“I don’t want to die”, and “this isn’t gonna end well”. The door was then forced open when Leigh screamed “No! Stop! Don’t!” At that point, Kepler shot Leigh and then turned with his gun towards the officer. The officer then heroically saved more lives by shooting this POS twice in the face – nice shot by the way, officer Hess.
You want to know how a professional “negoshitor” can take < 5 minutes before busting in the door? It happened about the time Leigh started screaming because she was most likely getting cut up. Try to think about this for a second and let it sink in: they know the drunk POS was cutting her, the victim starts screaming. Do you A) go in and try to save that poor woman’s life before it’s too late, or B) yell through the door “sir!”“sir!”“please stop cutting your wife up so we can continue with our conversation”“sir?” <thud; silence>. You see, the number of minutes spent “negoshitoring” is irrelevant when you have to act to try and save a person’s life. Believe me, if Lisa is in the bathroom getting stabbed (with a knife), you’ll want someone to at least TRY to save you.
The statements are all different because they come from different people with different perspectives and viewpoints during an extremely stressful situation. This is common if not guaranteed.
As far as the number of bullets fired, I only read reports of “3-4” shots being fired by Kepler. I didn’t see mention of Kepler firing at the officers – probably because he was distracted with the bullets in his face. Keep in mind witness statements regarding the number of shots almost always vary.
Bottom line Lisa is this dirt bag Kepler tortured and killed Leigh. Kepler alone made that decision and it’s glaringly obvious that officer Hess made the right decision in this situation. Wow - if I’m ever obviously guilty of a crime, I hope you’re on my jury.

In reading the full report, it seems that the amphetamines that was in his system was phentermine, which is an appetite suppressant. The article made it sound like it was illicit.

This is so sad all the way around. Daughters without their parents. An officer now has to live with taking a life of another human being. The choices that we make in life affect so many. I pray for all these people involve that they can continue in life the best they can.
