I got a pound of ground chuck at the store recently and noticed it said USA/Honduras. I don't like the fact that this or any store is buying meat from those nasty south of the border scums. When there are plenty of cows in this country.

Did you get it from the meat counter or frozen?

Before starting trash talk on this site about a reputable business and speculating, why don't you just ask them first. I'm sure any one of the guys behind the counter will gladly answer any questions you may have about their meat selections.

Everytime I have purcheased Ground Chuck it was in a plain white wrapper with a sticker that has the wieght and price. It looks like your trying to trash a good business. Typical topix trash!

Got to say a couple of things this all started about 10 years ago, back then if you went and purchased a couple pounds of fresh groung chuck it would last a few days in the frig, now it will turn brown and nasty if you keep it over a day or some times two days,I ask Ted one day whats up with the ground hamburger along with the ground chuck , turning brown the next day , he told me they have to buy frozen blocks of meat in the summer, Because they would not have enough meat to make up enough cround chuck and hamburger ,checked down at IGA, Krogers in oxford they all told me the same thing their using frozen meat blocks from out of this country , if you have and doubt that this is true try asking the meat cutters they have no choice but to tell you the truth......

Why label this thread "Rosenberger's Meat" ? Why not label it IGA or Krogers if they are all doing this? You sound like a competitor slinging trash

Oh my lord because it was purchased there. He didnt' say he went to 15 area stores and found it. That doesn't mean it isn't there too you idiot. You people are making a big deal of absolutely nothing. Geez. there's nothing wrong with any meat. go take a nap.

I don't care for that grocery boy with the attitude like he can take over his daddy's place and be a big boss when he finally leaves home and get a real job. Don't know his name but he works for his dad. He scares me when I shop there. Just glares at people.

Love rosenbergers meat:) wat we should be worried about is that alot of schools use PINK SLIM in our childrens lunch meat has been linked to raising risk for cancer....idk seems that something like that would be more important than slamming a good buisness for doing wat most grocery stores apparently do....

I've never had a problem with any of Rosenbergers meat however it is expensive unless they are running a sale. I will say though that you can go to Krogers, and IGA and get the same quality.

I will give Rosenburgers credit they do have beef sides they cut fresh meat from, and when you say you can get the same quality of meat at Kroger's and IGA you need to think again , ask someone in the meat department to show you what they get their fresh cut beef from , neither of them cut or even have meat hanging in their store's it is all packed it lumps in boxes and plastic bags and covered in blood!!!!!!!! ask them see if I am fool of crap or not !!! and then come back on here and tell us what you found out......

You don't know him at all which is obvious. He has a real job and volunteers to save your butt if you're in danger! Think twice before judging.
