Heard DNR released an unspecified number of big cats at request of insurance companies to cut down the deer/car accidents.

If DNR released big cats into the general animal population, wouldn't they have to notify the general public?

Yes you are right. Friends of ours are avid hunters and they set up a night vision camera just to see how many deer walked by and a bob cat walked by the camera.
Nothing was told to the public about setting these bob cats free. They are as scared of you as you are of them but I would watch my animals.

Might be coyotes that you hear. They sound pretty creepy.

There is a man in blue creek are who has big cats in horrible conditions. They are chained and in week kennels and have dog houses to live in. He has mountain lions and other cats, or at least did a year ago and he has raised them for years . I can about guarantee they get loose and he's probably to blame for them being in franklin co area. He also sells at whites on wednesdays. He sells rabbits, poultry waterfowl goats guinea pigs etc which he picks up at auctions for little to nothing and resells. Most of what he sells is diseased. I bought two chickens from him once that had a disease and they wiped out my whole flock of 50 chickens. All of his animals are kept in close confines in filthy conditions. What dies he just throws to the lions, he has told me this himself! Authorities need to take the cats, I don't know how he manages to maintain a wild animal permit!

This guy is on Wolf Creek isn't he? Like you said, he's horrible to his animals but no one will do anything about it. Maybe if we found out the permit procedures complaints could be filed there. Someone might pay attention since the problems that happened a couple years ago at Zanesville, Ohio.
