Something fishy going on here. If you plan an event to rent their club be sure you have iron clad contract signed and investigate insurance problems with having music or food here. If the right person isn't involved (perhaps a gratuity is in order) in the transaction it may be cancelled for a number of previously undisclosed reasons imposed by the commodore. Caution.

Several years ago, I attended a wedding there, they provided the food and bar, everything went well, we had no complains.

Sorry if you incurred problems. I know some people that are affliated with this organization, I'm sure problems could be resolved.
