My great, great grandfather was a cooper in Tippecanoe county in the early 1800s (the 1850 census has him and his family listed as living in Wabash township). He then moved to Carrol county for the rest of his life.
That's cool that you have a personal link to this. It sounds like a great historical event that's family-friendly, too.
