Why are people against Slater? He seems like a great candidate for the job. AND, not from here!

at this point Sutton is probably the best man for the job, but I would certainly be interested in finding each candidate's view on what to do about communities like Timberbrook. Janney has clearly done nothing here to help in the past 4 years. I am somewhat new, but understand that things have only gotten worse here.

I can't wait until dan slater get's into office. Or Sutton. Dick Cheese needs to go. He already broken promises and cheated deputies out. Janney needs to go, this county needs to be under a new sheriff who cares and is in his office during a work week and not playing golf all day and jamming up his deputies on bullshit stuff.

I agree about the good-ole-boys bullshit in this county. So many people are supporting Sutton, and it is time for NEW.

For the people who don't know Sutton was good friends with Janney and helped him get elected the firt time. They had a fallen out and Sutton stated he would run for sheriff to stick it to Janney.Thats is what Sutton's ambitions boil down to,getting back at Janney. We don't need someone that is running for Sheriff on that agenda. We need a candidate that supports the citizens and is running for Sheriff to make this county safe again.My opinion Sutton is no better than Janney since they broke bread together at the same table. Why not take the time to ask Sutton why he broke with the Sheriff before believing he is no better than him? Ronald Reagan was a Democrat that voted for FDR... People can't change? Maybe they were friends and after serving under the Sheriff he decided there were things he thought he could do better. If you ask Sutton he will explain what makes him different. I have a question to all of you? Why is there so much drama with these candidates? I understand politics, yet so much drama is stirring with the current Sheriff, the Commissioners, this county, etc...

I've read all of the candidates websites and even spoke with them. Janney and Sutton are the better of the three running. Slaters platform is so boring that a third grader can see his BS promises. Again, he states he is not a politician but has idea's that will increase the budget two fold. He wants to make special units. Where is the manpower going to come from? What happens, do the citizens suffer from no one working in the uniform patrol division. I LOL when I see all of his training certificates that just about every Officer throughout the State obtains. Ask any Officer about his training certificates and awards and they will LOL. Slater has no clue......Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk

I have to agree with Curly. Ask canidate Slater where will the patrol divison be at the Cecil County Sheriff's Office if every Deputy is assigned to a specialized unit. An undercover narcotics officer, please Dan. You couldn't solve a narcotics crime if a drug dealer was selling dope in front of your house. Maybe this time you will receive three votes from the citizens of Charlestown.

Sutton's platform just came out and the ideas are the same as Slater's. Now what? Are both of them giving us BS-promises. I think they both know whats needed at the Sheriffs Dept. since they work there......gotta go Gotham is calling.
