I've done alot of looking into the case on the net and read arguments for both sides, I honestly feel Roy Pippin is innocent (these are only the opinion of myself and others may not agree), I feel really sorry for the bloke. I in no way condone drugs, nor do I condone murder. However death penalties need to be issued on 110% undesputable rock hard evidence, I believe to many people go this way around the world, I believe goverments the world over use innocent people as scape goats to show they are winning the fight against all forms of crime and help restore the publics confidence in the law enforcement agencies. I support the death penalty but only on substantial strong evidence.

I have done alot of looking into this case on the net, reading arguments both for and against. I honestly feel Roy Pippin is innocent (some may disagree, but this is my opinion) I in no way condone drugs or murder. It is my belief that death penalties should only be issued on 110% rock hard evidance and i believe this case does not have that. Too often the world over, governments use capital punishment as a means of a simple bandaid solution a quick fix if you like, to restore public faith in their often incompetant law enforcement agencies sometimes at the expense of someone who is meerly a scapegoat. I have no problem with capital punishment, but undisputable evidence needs to be presented.

Personally, I think that the people found guilty should have to serve a life sentence without parole. I realize that we pay for supporting them while they are locked up, but they have to stay somewhat confined for a long time and not just put out of their misery...let them suffer if they are guilty. But then I also don't believe that we as people have the right to condemn and sentence people to death. I believe that when called to jury duty, that is violating a religious theory "that old God has the right to judge people and make them pay the ultimate price". And NO I'm not a religious freak by any means, just an average level-headed person who believes in God, has worked for attorneys for 17 years and whose husband works in a prison. So, I've seen all sides of it.

TAKE IT FROM ME...ROY GOT WHAT HE DESERVED. HE DESTROYED A LOT OF LIVES. IT MAKES ME SICK TO READ HOW HE PROCLAIMED INNOCENCE TO THE END. ROY WAS ALWAYS A SELF RIGHTEOUS EGOTISTICAL ARROGANT MAN IN THE FREE WORLD CARING FOR NO ONE BUT HIMSELF. EVEN BEHIND BARS HE HAD TO BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION.

It is amazing how people from other countries seem to think their opinion about sparing the death penalty should be set in stone. I suppose it was OK for the cowards on 9/11 to NOT spare the death sentences they imposed on our citizens right? Now I am sure someone will spin that right off saying something to the effect of "so two wrongs make a right, right?" or some ignorant hide behind comment like that. Understand this bleeding hearts, This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and rest assured if you are from a "free country" and you are attacked by extremists, our soldiers will be there with you, killing the people that want to kill you! We cannot be everywhere in the world helping to defend everyones freedom to live however we do the best with what we have. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
