I am sooo glad i dont live in Bullitt county. It is nice going out in Jefferson county anywhere and not have to endure the stench of cigarette smoke(yuck). It looks like smokers rule over in Bullitt county, what a shame. What is wrong with taking yourself outside to take care of your nictotine fix?

I am a non smoker nor do I want to breathe that smoke. But I have a big BUT here. I am in favor of not allowing smoking in public places where the public has to go and believe that smokers need to take it outdoors. BUT,,,now that this has started happening some businesses don't want to allow smoking AT ALL on their property. I think this is going too far here. Yes, it is their property and they should have a right to not allow smoking at all anywhere on their property, whether it is indoors or outdoors. But it is silly to say that people can't smoke outdoors on their property. When people smoke outdoors it isn't hurting anyone now except themselves. Some colleges and hospitals have started doing this. This is plain nonsense. Where does it end!? This is a case of some people not being happy with others giving up part of their privelege but now they want to take it ALL away. Just like the gun issue. There are those out there who want to do away with guns altogether. Again, nonsense.

smoking should be banned from all public areas. i do agree that it taking it outside should be acceptable, but...smokers dont stand in the dam n doorways with your cig getting one last draw in then throw your butt down on the ground and walk into the establishment exhaling your smoke, i see this OFTEN and it is offensive. meijers on charlestown rd for one example...that happens all the time, smokers dont want to stink up their own vehicles with the stench of their smoke, so they climb out of their cars, light a ciggy and puff away until they reach the door...and as posted above, they blow their smoke into the building. as long as it is away from the entrances, i dont see the problem. there are still a few places around the area where you can smoke indoors, save a step on grantine, i was shocked to see a cashier with a cig hanging from her lips the other day..and frish's still has a smoking section...it is however being phased out, and rightly so. smokers quit throwing your butts out the windows, we are under a burn ban in floyd county, anyone noticed the five huge burns on the side of expressway between charlestown rd exit and clarksville/indianapolis exits... sad. very sad. quit using the world as your ashtray!

Couldnt agree more.I also hate when i see smokers flick their cigarettes out the window while they're driving, which can cause a potential fire, which has happened. Most places here you have to be a certain distance away from the entrance of a building to smoke.I could never understand why they would crowd around each other by the door in a huddle like they're football players. Its a blessing to go out anywhere here now and its smokefree and a more pleasant experience.Could never understand the pleasure people find in breathing smoke in their lungs and than coughing their heads off.To each his own i guess.

Smokers have some rights also you know. It can't be all just about the NON smokers. It seems like now that NO ONE should smoke according to some of these posts. I think the smokers should retaliate a little by continuing their smoking just right outside the doors etc.. After all they are outside. Let the non smokers cry a little. If I were a smoker I would light up a big cigar and go into a resturant for a few min. just to irritate the non smokers and then leave, exhailling as much smoke as possible between where I am at the time and the door. Now that is justice.

Get it out of the inside, I don't mind it on the outside as long as smoking is away from the entrance

Haters gonna hate, right?

Perhaps they'll pass it like Houston.. No smoking within 25 ft of the building. That will get you really fired up.

The reason the governments made such a push to end smoking was Lucifer-an Space Aliens told them to. Around 2012 giant space aliens will invade the earth and begin eating humans.

People that smoke don't taste as good as people that don't. They taste kinda like an opossum. People that don't smoke taste like tuna.

why should smokers have the right to smoke on someone else's property. i think that if business owners are polite enough to let smokers smoke outside on their property, then they should be considerate enough of those of us who dont inhale toxins purposely to move out of the doorways. you must just want an arguement, because anyone with a brain knows that smoking is bad for you, and it isnt a right, it is a choice. i think smokers should be forced to smoke only in their own vehicles, and at home...but most dont smoke in either becasue it stains their ceilings and stinks up their stuff. lol. imagine that.

The last time I went to the doctor he said nothing about me having a retardation problem. If you want ignorance it is those who smoke and it sure looks like you belong in that group. Hopefully lung cancer will take you just so that dorks like yourself are disposed of in proper manner. You cannot get more stupid by reading something genious. If you are feeling more stupid it is because you were ALREADY stupid,,,stupid!!

I think people like you who think like you should only be allowed to think like that in your own home and in your car. Smokers are already polite enough by going outside to begin with. Why should they bend down and kiss non smokers feet!? Like I said I would go into a place and simply smoke everybody out even before being asked to leave. I would light up a big nasty cigar and play like I was a smoke stack. So there. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
