I hate to disappoint Mr. Walker who I know and have worked with but when the announcement came out about Tallapoosa having its ratig go down and how your insurance would drop mine went up almost 20% with MET who I had used since moving into this home almost 8 years ago and had used before then.

I tried to get the new Insurance Commissioners office to answer my inquiry as to what rate increase his office had approved for this company and after 3 tries had no succes. I asked the same thing when the previous Commissioner was in office and got an answer within 48 hours. The new Commissioner is not responsive to the citizens it appears.

So do not hold your breath while waiting for that decrease. I mean do you really think an agent is going to tell you your rates will incease when questioned about this???

I had about the same luck as you with the Insurance Commissioners Office Emailed a Question about health insurance claim it took 24 days to get a answer.Homeowenrs insurance rates are so bad my isurance rates went up 20% last year and was set to increase 17% this year with Progressive Insurance had to changed to another company i expect the same thing with this company in a year or so. I have never filed a homeowener claim and the same thing has started to happen to auto insurance rates. So in my opinion the commissioner in office today is just as useless as the last one

ONLY IF YOU LIVE WITH IN 5 MILES OF A FIRE STATION. PARTS OF THE COUNTY MAY HAVE WENT TO A 5 BUT OTHER PARTS WENT FROM A 9 UP TO A 10, WHICH IS THE WORSE RATING.
