Up until now I read good reviews on Yankee Candles. But now Jarden bought them out recently.

I think right about now I'd rather root for the Yankees than buy any Yankee candles.

All the big corporations are ripping everybody off lately. Even the Republicans wanted to put a stop to this easy money being handed to Wall Street. The higher the Dow Jones gets the meaner all these companies will get. It's simple logic that stupid people have not been able to grasp. And these companies are laughing in our face. Not long ago the CEO of All State insurance said he cared about the consumers as long as they were also their shareholders. It doesn't get any more arrogant than that. But all the Fortune 500 companies think the same way. Wake up America.

Can't argue and State Farm is even worse than All State. I think the Fortune 500 is just all one company anyway.

So now Jarden owns the Yankee Candles? What else are they going to buy and destroy? They plan on making these candles fireworks? Dangerous ones I'm sure.

Unfortunately you may be correct. As Stalin once said it's not who votes that counts, but who counts the votes.

This thread is about two years old. But nothing has changed in any respect. America is still a corporate monarchy, Wall Street is still getting Freebies, the mainstream media is still covering up for all the bad guys and most people especially the young ones are still totally clueless.

According to Google Monsanto has replaced Jarden as the most dangerous company in the world. I don't agree. People at least know about Monsanto. Jarden is still not a household world and therefore still more dangerous.

I tend to agree. Monsanto is the meanest but Jarden is still the most dangerous. This company is almost singlehandedly destroying the first amendment as they continue to fly under the radar.

I've heard a lot of terrible things about Sunbeam batteries. But I won't go into details here because I don't want Jarden Corporation lawyers dragging me into court with their freedom robbing lawsuits.

Many of the posts here come from one group of people. However a very smart and informed group of people. If the rest of the country was as smart as they were we wouldn't be living in a Corporate Monarchy. Many of the posts here were during Obama's first term. They cried out with a passion to deny him a second term. America didn't listen.
Now only the top 1 percent is prospering. The rest of the country is losing their freedom, going broke and being put in harm's way by dangerous companies like this. You get what you vote for.

My guess would be until Obama declares Martial Law and confiscates all of our weapons. "Over my dead fingers?" Yeah right.

Very observant. Most of us who are in that smart group you referred to are part of an Illinois organization trying to fight back against corporate corruption by spreading the word on the internet. Some people are finally waking up, but still a long way to go.
