I lived across from P.S. 123 from birth till I was almost 13 and I went to that school K-6 and I can say with all confidence that that intersection is Willoughby Avenue and Irving Avenue. Not Suydam Street and Irving Avenue.
The line in the road delineates Irving Avenue and Willoughby Avenue goes off to the left.

I also went to this school 1964-1970 , and can also say with extreme confidence that the picture is definitely accurate the school yard sits on the Willoughby side, and Suydam st. is a one way facing willoughby , always has been .

when i went to that school there were a lot black and white promblems. i never could understand why. my class mates and i got along well. ionly live a half a block from the school. i live on the corner of willoughby ave and cypress ave. and when there was going to be trouble, there was always alot of cops around from 83 princint. jhs was in a nice and beauitful area. who ever went to that school would remember that. it was a all white nerborhood. but the school was 85% black and 10% hispanic and 5% white maybe that was the promblem. but i still had a great time at that school
