I wonder if anyone still maintains this thread? I went to PS 123K 1991-1995. I remember some names mentioned here. Mr. Colletti, Mrs. Benjamin, Mrs. Simon, Mrs. Dalucca, Mrs. Forrest, Barbara the librarian at the time, and Ms. Spatola I think was the principal at the time. It's all a blur at this point.

I had some great memories of grade school and wonderful teachers. I often think about some of the teachers. Does anyone remember (ms Romano/mrs burton) Boy did I have a crush on her, she was so smart and beautiful . She always gave me special attention and boy did I appreciate that. Does anyone no how she is and when she retired ?

Steve,

I had Ms. Romano for 6th grade in 1972 and you are right. She was always very beautiful and loved her mini-skirts (they were in style back then. I had Ms Zybajlo (spelling?) the previous year for 5th grade.

What yearsw did you attend

Mrs Burton's first name was (and still is) Judy. She married Mr Burton sometime I'm the early 70s. I believe they met on a picket line during one of the teacher strikes

I attended PS123 in 1970-1974 and had Mrs Huber (4-2), Ms Zybajlo (5-1 IGC - her last year at the school) and Miss Romano (6-1 IGC) in 1970, 1971 and 1972. any chance you have any of the class pictures of those years?

Yea, I remember those days when the Italians were there. Don't remember Irving ave being a two way if that's what you meant. Then again, I attended P.S 123 in 1977 as a first grader and kept getting kicked out of the school. I kept going back and fourth from p.s 123 to p.s 145 during my elementary years. I was a trouble kid.I was a teachers nightmare back in those days. But, I do remember Mr. Halloren. He was abusive with me and a few other students until I got tired of it and punched him on the nose. I didn't care much for him as I thought he was too aggressive with the students during lunch time in the school yard. he couldn't get away with that stuff now in days. He'll go straight to jail.
I even remember the bull horn when it was time to go back in school from the school yard.

Then there was Mrs. Kinsella. She was an older teacher I had for my 3rd grade class in P.S 123.
She was the best teacher I had. I'm sure she's in heaven by now.
She was ready to croke in the 70's so, I'm sure she's in a better place now.
