I attended this school from 1955 and graduated in 1964 (k thru 8). I have nothing but good memories of this school. Back then they offered sewing and cooking classes for the girls in 7th & 8th grade. We had to make our own graduation dresses. We also baked cookies for the PTA meetings. The boys had shop. I loved that school. On the weekends we would play stickball in the school yard with my dad. Thanks to this school, I became a strong, independent, and successful woman.

Wasn't it Dr. Gannon? Replaced by Ms. Horowitz after he retired. Attended from 55-64.

Ms Fisher I'm not sure if you'll see this but I've been looking for you everywhere! I was your student at PS 158 and you changed my life! To this day I can honestly say that you are the best teacher I've ever had. If by chance you do see this post please reply and then I'll post up my email address because I'd love to keep in touch. Thanks for being amazing!!!

Went to p.s. 145 from 1977-1982, lived on flushing and bushwick. Anybody here was there during that time? Eddie sierra was my best friend, had Miss Debella in 4th grade, and Mrs Dean in 5th grade.

I went there in 1972 (6th Grade). My teacher was Miss or Mrs Goldberg. She was strict but a good teacher. I remember that year well because when Roberto Clemente (the baseball player)died in P.R. I wrote a poem about him and had to read it in front of the whole 6th grade assembly. They also had a temporary (classrooms)annex that was name after him.

I ATTENDED PS 145 IN THE MID FIFTIES. MY FIRST TEACHER WAS MRS ROBELL IN THE SECOND GRADE. MR. GANNON WAS PRINCIPAL AT THAT TIME. AFTER THAT I WAS PUT IN, WHAT WAS REFERED TO AS "HEALTH CLASS" DUE TO
RHUMATIC FEVER. SOME OF THE CLASSMATE I RECALL WERE HENRY AND JAMES HOMIER, RICHARD MIDDLETON AND MY BIGGEST CRUSH DARIA. I ALSO REMEMBER FELIX VALEZ TOUGH JIMMY CAFFARO. I AM HOPJNG TO FIND SOME RECORDS OR PHOTOS OF THAT TIME PERIOD. I LIVED AT 96 MORGAN AVE ABOVE MR. MANDELLS CANDY STORE WHICH MY BROTHER LATER BOUGHT. HOPE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE SOON.

I graduated in 1964 and my deepest memory is having made my graduation dress, I liked sewing and really enjoyed it. My graduation picture is the best remembrance of that.

Mrs. Alice Shannon was my teacher back in the mid 1960's. I lived in Central Ave. across the street from the school. There was a brewery close to the school as well as a low of two story apartment buildings. I become a teacher as well thanks to fabulous role models at PS 145.

I had Mr.Gold as my 5th grade teacher in 1973/74, I hated that fat bastard, when I acted like the class clown, which was practically all the time, he used to chase me all over the class room trying to beat the crap out of me, back then they got away with a lot of stuff, never caught me though.
Mrs.L.Hayden my 6th grade teacher in 1974/75 was a whole nother story, she was the best thing that ever happened to a kid in that era, I owe a lot to her for the way my life took a certain direction, she was the type of teacher that listened, it wasn't all about teaching, she gave a damn about her students and that forever stood in my heart, wish I could see her again, I would tell her I miss her words of wisdom and thank her for taking a kid from the Bushwick brooklyn ghetto and change his life forever.
Thank You, Mrs.Hayden

I attended P.S. 145 from Prekindergarten through part of the 3rd grade (1969-1973). I have some very fond memories of this school and the teachers that I had here. We moved away from Brooklyn even though I did not not want to because I loved my teachers Miss Persky and Miss. Hampton among others. But these are the two that I remember the most after 40 years of leaving P.S.145. I also miss some of the childhood friends that I used to attend school with here. Donald Murrell being one of them...Donald if you happen to see this and remember your friend Robert Brown from P.S. 145 in the 1970's. Send me an email: robert_brown_2007@yahoo.com

Peace Everybody.
