Lets hope for a good turnout of voters to the Nov 12th township meeting. The township used money from the general fund to pay for the police dept to operate until the Nov 4th election because the millage ended and there isn't any money for the police dept to operate. Many Norvell township voters probably don't realize that the board decided to go into deficit to keep the police dept operating until the Nov 4th election. The township board felt that the millage was voted down in Aug, not because voters feel they can't afford a police dept, but because not enough voters voted in Aug. Go to the township meeting and let the board know that we the voters know the money problems of the township and we don't want to go into further debt to operate a police dept.
