Why is Berkshire Bank again picking a fight with one of our true community visionary Jae Chung? He has brought us great restaurants in Williamstown, North Adams, Adams and Pittsfield. You would think our bank could work with this restaurant mogul.

Why do you assume that the bank is "again picking a fight" and how do you know that the bank has not tried to "work with this restaurant mogul." No bank neglect to work with a borrower before foreclosing and no bank wants to foreclose. When they foreclose they generally lose money. Banks want their customers to continue to own and operate their businesses and/or properties. They only foreclose as a last resort, usually after many months (maybe longer) of working with their customers. So don't jump to conclusions. After all it was this bank which originally gave the borrower the loan so he could own and operate the business and property. Now they want a very simple thing....to minimize their loss. Who can argue with that?

How can this man have so many foreclosures and still be in bussines? He had a agreement with the bank and didnt follow up.No one is pickin a fight with a mogul as u call him .The bank has his house up for sale , his wife just paid CASH to have one of those Condos to be built. This is the way Jae works ,shuffle, shuffle. So I dont why people support Spice, the man doesnt pay his bills, just pays for a condo in full!He has a scholarship in his MOMs name and the students still havent recieved any money. But lets hang his picture at Drury high school, someone the kids could look up to? So if Bank wants thier money GO FOR IT.

Anyone interested in purchasing this POS should pay NO More than 20 GRAND and that should include the Real Estate! The bank was nuts to give him 170 K . Some one was in love with J.
Just look at what used restaurant equipment is worth.
The next - spice on North street will be back in the paper soon. J and lady are fighting daily and this is more than power play. Just watch and see. Ms. Joyce will be the winner because she has the cash but she to will lose in the end.
Lots of love with the chef in charge also just do some research in that department! WOW a love triangle .
Game almost over! The bank will be #1 looser in dollars. The wife - guess which one!

It is disgusting how people can air other people's business on these forums. It amazes me how much people know about others business or are these just assumptions. Get a life people.

When Jae stuck the Adams Co-Op Bank with Le Jardin they took a loss of over 1.5-2 MILION on that sale . Lucky Bo P. Paid 500K what a price! Kudos - Mr. Bo.
He does not pay his bills and almost all purveyors are on a COD with what they are selling him. To my amazement even the ones he owes $$$$$$ to!
But what happens the hard workers and honest bill pay on time people end up paying for the dead beats like MR . JAE . But remember your mayor of Pittsfield made this operation TAX EXAMPT! I wonder if any favors ever come of this?????????? All you tax payers / pay your taxes on TIME! Lucky Jae and Joyce enjoy your NO PAY!

As one of Jae's Chefs, yes we do have green cards or are citizens, so quit your bitching. Jae and Doug employ many people who make an honest living and that is what is needed in this area.

Ryan Hutton in his article wrote:
Chung also owns two Jae's Inns in Brookline and Boston, in addition to Jae's Spice, the Crawford Square building and the Pressbox, all in Pittsfield.

I'm just wondering if Jae actually "owns" Jae's Spice and The Pressbox, or simply has some type of lease arrangement with the building owners, and curious about the current status of the Crawford Square building?

As one of Jae cooks you better get ready to find a new job soon. You work there and see what is happening! It’s just a matter of tie and time is running out!
Just ask the people who are only selling on a COD TERMS!

Peter, it's getting cool here in the Berkshires, time for you and the wifey to hop into your SUV and head back to the so called sunshine state. And take your petty nastiness with you.

Do any of you people look @ mass land records. Google it, enter Jae Chung, Jae Hoon Chung, Jae H. Chung, Jaes Inn or even Jae Adams. All of the financial woes are listed as public record. He owes everyone.

The Black River produce bill was attached to a house that he owned on Richmond Ln in Adams. The total was almost 17,000. That's a whole lot of veggies. There are many many many liens on his properties.
