I drive a day route for a trucking company and take 49B on my way to Blytheville 3 times a week. What is going on with that yard that is so trashed up you can't even see the house? It's right before you get to that church at the end of Pine Log Road. I've notice a huge dumpster sitting out there and it doesn't look like anything is disappearing from the yard. Somebody should report it as an environmental hazard.

I too have wondered why nothing has ever been done about that house. What an eye sore. One time I called city hall about some junk in my neighbor's yard and asked if there was a code enforcement officer for the city and the girl who answered the phone said she would go take a look at the place. I mean, who is she? Obviously not code enforcement because nothing was ever done and I still have to look at this junk farm equipment that's rusted out in my neighbor's yard and looks like it's going to fall over into my yard. Any ideas who to take this up with?

Who cares? The people who have to live near it and look at it every day. That's who cares. What if someone had piles of rat infested junk next to your house? You would care.

We do live in the country!!! This house is on the main highway and looks like it should be condemed. Let alone have a child live there. I think if maybe several people complain to the mayor or to the police cheif. We care what it looks like around our town, even though we live outside the city limits. This house has been this way for at least 14 years!! Maybe it needs to be brought up at the city council meeting. i will call Shelby and inquire

They bought the property and live OUTSIDE the city limits...they can do whatever they want to with it. Also, I don't think calling anybody about is going to do any good...I have seen it looking like that for at least 25 years. It will only make you look like a trouble starting cry baby. Get over it and worry about something that actually matters!

Um...what I have I said that is in any way hurtful? And who have I made angry? All I have said is that it's THEIR yard and they can do with it what THEY want. That is what is great about being a property owner!

OMG did you go to school? hole town, yould, medows, distright, dought, bubole, pepoles, and on and on. Take pride in what education you did get and at least spell these easy words properly! Yet you spell neighborhoods correctly! Are you lazy and don't give a damn about what you do or say and have the attitude "who cares" about everything in life? You come across as a lazy bum.

Thank you, I do live in Brookland, and i do have pride in my yard and my home. It is not the
Sage Meadows house but it is paid for and does not look like a dump, and i am not afraid to invite people to my home because i have s..t in the yard! It may be their property but they should have enough dignity to respect the people that live around them, their families, and the town itself!! By the way i think Brookland is a great little town, and at least it is not as bad as some other places. Have a little respect for your town, even if it is small. That is why i chose it, and i like where my home is.

Daily Horoscope for November 16

Pisces

This could be the beginning of a fabulous time for you as the Scorpio New Moon promises hedonistic, exotic pleasures. Few signs can handle the intensity and passion of the Scorpio energy, but it has the effect of energizing and invigorating you. Travel may be highlighted this month, so plan to make time for an escape. Romance is favoured, so don't leave the house without shaving or still in your curlers!
