That poor family. They want to let him go and yet, the state thinks that they have the right to supersede the families wishes.

I hope she gains strength to take this to court and give him the right to dignity.

Wait, what? You want to give the decision regarding the young man's life to his mom?

Only parents who would refuse nourishment and hydration?

South Dakota sets a high standard for ending someone's life. There isn't clear evidence that this would be the wishes of the young man.

The mom should override that without evidence?

The state has a perogative to consider the wishes of the disabled first.

The legality of representing the wishes of the disabled in a litigation for huge sums of money and then using that to litigate death of the disabled individual is anyone's business...it's still a democracy unless you have claimed yourself emperor of whose business is what making you all up in everybody's business.

so since you are quoting the law, what does the law say about violating court orders, lying under oath as to what the truth is and taking money to help with terri's bills when no one penny was spent on her?
