A Del Norte County man was indicted by a federal grand jury this week on charges of threatening to kill President Barack Obama and his family.

Jaydog hit it on the head. Funny how we didn't hear this sort of remark from 'civilized' people in bars or casual gatherings let alone read it when the Bush's occupied the White House. I have heard similar threats in mixed company. Why were they not arrested? Because they didn't write it down? If an email is a threat, most of us have done the same, probably not with such vengence, but either subtle or hidden.
Nevertheles, the guy is an idiot. Hopefully we will not be so closely monitored that we have to worry about it.
