Why is when a minority is "Suspect", Newsday provides no description? Double standard?

Police seek witness in Farmingville robbery
Two men bludgeoned a grocery store worker early Monday morning in Farmingville and stole his wallet containing $16, sending the victim to the hospital with a head wound, the Suffolk police said.
