I work hard to stay healthy, I am careful about what I eat and exercise every day. As I grew up I looked at what I could do to make myself useful so I could have a job, I worked hard at my job and from an early age started putting aside money so I will have something when I am old. I go to the store and while I am buying healthy foods I see someone in one of those motorised carts, it is carrying someone around not because they are so old and frail or disabled but because they are too fat to walk around the store with a basket as they buy their donuts with their government food stamp card.
That person helps set the price of healthcare and the government to one extent or another will help pay for their unhealthy lifestyle with my tax dollars.
I don't get this we are all in it together thing at all. It is not my responsibility to give part of my life to take care of someone else who won't take care of themselves.
Any man at times will stumble, and it is then our duty to lift him up and set him on his feet again; but no man can be permanently carried, for if he expects to be carried he shows that he is not worth carrying.
