Ex-mayor pleads guilty to sex crime

The former mayor of Rhodhiss is now on probation and house arrest after pleading guilty earlier this week to felony indecent liberties with a child.

i don't know this guy on a personal level but i did see him at my place of business this past saturday which was 3 days ago. i heard he was on house arrest but if so how was he out? is it possible that the time served hadn't started yet or something?

House arrest was changed to 6 months intensive probation.

Same difference. They gave him that instead of the house arrest. He better be thanking his lucky stars. He is on 48 months supervised probation also. Deserves more if you ask me. Just because the DA decided not to charge him with all the charges and took a plea doesn't mean the individuals can't decide to bring forth their own charges.

Unfortunately our government tries to accept the lowest charges possilbe that would still allow him to register and follow sex offender treatment but without jail time.

It is so sad that he does not really have to pay like other people. I am sure that his being in government and his brother still in government saved him even if he hurt others. Thats the way it work. The crooks walk most of the time. But if it was a child of mine, I would hate him and would the greatest punishment for him.

You know that is not right, the child he did things to will never be free, I know first hand the nighmares never go away for the victom or the family. He is just free to do it again, makes you feel like there is no justice for the children. They have finally changed the justice for these crimes and are making the prison time more strict for these crimes. Just remember the victim suffers forever.

i would like to say i know first hand what it is like to be sexual molested as a child i live in hell everyday with the nightmare played over and over in my head,it has caused me nightmares messed up relationships for me cause i have kids im allways watching my kids close. it makes you grow up believeing it was your fault while these sick monsters who cant get a grown up women walks free among us to do it again and again, the emotial scares neer heal they just get bigger, i think they should uthelize a child molester .
