From what you posted,you have a title with someone elses name on it. Its not your car unless it has your name on the title.
If it worked like you wanted it to, anyone could file for a lost title and claim anyones car.

First, before any of you idiots start running your mouths, I have embarq as a provider so I can not control where it says I am located.
Second, No one seems to believe the original poster, neither do I. I have to agree with the poster who said David is wasting space.
I believe David is just trying to get his car repaired for free and thinks that this will prevent others from taking their cars to this garage. The more he says about this the less believeable it becomes. Just pay the repair bill and be done with it David. No one thinks this is true but you.

Sorry David, I dont work there,I am a retired fireman. No connection with this garage. Just am smart enough to know a scam when I see it. Post all you want, from what I have read, no one is believing you anyways. As someone else said, just a waste of space.I agree.

I also have embarq and my location changes quite often. I live in Newton but it says I live all over n.c, even in places I am not sure where they are. So David, you are a dumb ass if you think the locations listed is correct. Just like you are a dumb ass if you think the car should be given to you when the bill is not paid. how long was the car left there before you paid for it, if you did actually pay for the repairs

about 2 month's before he got it fixed.then i paid him when he call'ed.me and told me it was ready. so i went and paid him.but the car was'ent there? he said the police made him move alot of the cars there and he was going to bring it to my house because ive known him 4 12-13 years.my wife has known him over 20.i know it sounds unreal but its true.its paid.and i dont want to get him in trouble all i want is my car.but enought is enought.

I dont believe a word the original poster has said. I have know mr wooten for many many yrs and I think I will stop by there the next time I am in longview and ask him about it. There is just something fishy about this story and I think David is leaving out alot of the details.

You know how to tell if someone is lying?...They always say.." I dont lie". I guess that im confused or dont know the whole story..BUT If you paid the money, why dont you call the police? If you have evidence that you paid this man...then he should be arrested for stealing your car. If no arrest has been made...then hes not doing anything illegal....and something is being left out. And the whole title thing...if the car is not in your name..and you cant get a family member to sign it over to you...once again..its not your car.. you are out of luck. UNLESS you have receipts for every payment you paid and a written contract with the old owner (who died). Then all you have to do is hire a attorney and case closed...you get your title.
