Thanks so much for your report on nocturnal dialysis!!!I'm new to dialysis and have choosen to go three times a night at Midwest Dialysis Center on the southside of Milwaukee. When I go home I complete my sleep, wake-up three hours later and go to work. I am a MPS K3 Head Start teacher. I don't know what I would do if there wasn"t such a program as night time dialysis. When I go to work I have lots of energy!! I hope to see more reports out there on dialysis, kidney transplants and donation awareness. Linda Betancourt Dialysis patient since December 2010

Though dialysis treatments significantly help in maintaining renal health in kidney disease patients, one can only imagine what a patient has to deal with, living with kidney disease and getting dialysis treatments while waiting for a donor kidney which could take over a period of months and even years. I also found out from http://www.dialysisinjuryhelpline.com/ that some medications used in dialysis have also been linked to certain adverse effects. Nevertheless, the introduction of nighttime dialysis may prove convenient and equally beneficial to certain patients, especially since dialysis sessions may take a good chunk of time out of a patient's day.
